technically speaking this list didn't just not include Scarlet and Violet, but left out gender form differences that actually look different, and it left out regional variants *which could be why the three birds in Sword and Shield were left out*. Which is a disservice, some regional variants are different enough that they could sway one. Also yes no new Eeevee since X and Y, even though some regions were perfect thematically for new ones. Sword and Shield would have been perfect to introduce a dragon and steel types Eeevolutions.
A lot of people didn't like black and white back when they played it, but I've been repping it since day 1.

I personally like playing gen 5 and didn't mind the fact that you could only use the Pokemon from that region up until you beat the game in the first 2. It was like you got to role play as Ash.

The reason I love Black and White the most isnt for the new pokemon designs but for the story and the pokemon sprites. The spirtes B&W and B2&W2 had was some of the best sprites they had and the laast time we had sprites for pokemon before they moved to 3D models. Yeah some of the pokemon designs in gen 5 was lazy but overall gen 5 was by far the best gen imo. I honestly excited for gen 5 remakes.

but Ninetails is a fox with powerful enough Pyschic powers to create illusions, including realistic humans illusions, that it controls. If Ninetails created a very attractive human illusion I would Smash. Does that count as Smashing a Ninetails? Idk. At the heart of smash or pass is telling the difference between, this is cool, I like this design, I like the lore, sure they can be attractive or have some nature but...would I want to have sex with them. Honestly this game used to have four options (three in some cases but it feels a tad overly hostile to say "kill" rather than pass), so I guess we could say Marry, Smash, Pass, like there is a difference between you'd have sex and you'd want to cohabitate with them as a partner. Like there are plenty of monsters out there *not just thinking Pokemon* I'd mate with in the wild and then go our seperate ways, but others I'd like to cuddle with after words and make breakfast and go shopping with, etc... maybe a fourth of Marry, One night stand, only as a friend, pass LoL.

Actually there are cases in the anime where they live full lives or become elderly in only their base forms. Evolving is merely a choice that varies depending on the Pokemon or their personality.
Technically no BUT ones like togepi, igglybuff, elekid, magby, ect are called "baby pokemon" essentially and typically were added after their evolved forms making the babies pre-evolved forms.

You're 200% correct about the Gen 5 games and you should say it. So many kids picked it up for their first one and decided it was the best and it just is NOT.
Most people who go back and play Gen 5 say it's one of the best.
