- The only path forward is empathy for the pain of Palestinian civilians and Israeli civilians, the right of both peoples to self-determination, peace and security, a rejection of anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim hate, and a recognition that Hamas's violent terror assaults Palestinian and Israeli lives.
Rabbi I watch a lot of WW2 documentaries. Countless horror stories but there is one that struck me. During the war Nazi officers that work at the Concentration camps would return home at night to reunite with their families. They would hug their children and put them to bed after spending the whole day torturing their fellow Jewish men, women AND CHILDREN. Some would also go on vacations with their families after a very hard work of torturing and killing Jewish men, women AND CHILDREN. The Nazis were able to do all that with no remorse because they successfully dehumanize the Jews and others. This is the same exact thing going on in Palestine. The Israeli establishment has created the situation where their people do not really see Palestinians as humans like them. This is a major part of the problem.
But you also appealed to Palestinians to accept the Jews right to the land. Actually Arabs and others coexisted peacefully in the region for centuries. It was the arrival of the EUROPEAN ZIONISTS that changed all that.

With all due respect to the rabbi, the common enemy there is not Hamas but the Jewish supremecist aparthid. Once that brutal estate is dismantled, everyone currently on the land, from the river to the sea, as well as the Palestinain refugees, will be able to live in a secular democratic state on the ancient land on Palestine. Until then and under the current situation there will be no peace, and it will be outragous to ask the occupied people of Palestine to not have hostile feelings towards the occupiers and just open their hearts to them.
The humanitarian pause has concluded, marking the resumption of Israeli bombardment over Gaza since December 1st. Currently, only a few hospitals remain operational in Gaza, leaving children to lie on cold floors in winter nights, their limbs tragically blown off. Despite efforts backed by the US and Europe to mute the cries of Gaza, we cannot and will not turn a blind eye to the ongoing crisis. Regrettably, the Palestinian cause has been abandoned by Muslim leaders. Nevertheless, it is imperative that we raise our voices and take action. We must do everything within our capacity to bring attention to the plight of the innocent civilians suffering in Gaza and work towards a ceasefire.

I think a true desire for reconciliation and peace has to begin with acknowledgement of the suffering of both and the acknowledgement of history. While your video begins this process, it does not acknowledge the continual expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and the related apartheid conditions put in place in order to protect these settlements. The suffering by Palestinians is not in the past but ongoing.

The West Bank is not governed by Hamas, Palestinians try the path of peace and the result is continual expansion of Jewish settlements and forcible removal of Palestinian families from their homes, restricted water access for their crops and restricted movement in order to protect these settlers. I have family who married a Palestinian and it saddens me to hear of the conditions and treatment of their people.

The Palestinian cause has been near & dear to my heart for ~15yrs now, since I first became aware of the conflict. It's the first issue I ever become deeply passionate about in my early 20's, and I spent countless hours reading about the history, and the countless ways Israel has found to mistreat, abuse, degrade, humiliate & subjugate the Palestinian people. I have close friends (and more acquaintances) who are Palestinian, and they are some of the most beautiful, kind, generous people I've known. One of them even thanked me one time, for being able to put his perspective & sentiments on the issue into words better than he could himself (and asked me if I wanted to replace the monkey Abbas hahaha).
All of that is just to preface this: your comment here Is one of the best expressions of this that I've seen in a long time... Maybe ever. The worst part of this nightmare is that Palestinian's humanity has been minimised to the point that even when someone tries to be understanding & empathetic and concede that Palestinians have reason to be aggrieved... *EVEN THEN,* this display of perceived magnamity *demands* that Palestinians just accept the righteousness of their oppressors, and basically concede that Zionists are the *real* victims in all of this - that the Palestinians themselves are hateful & wrong, for having the visceral human reaction that literally any & every human being would feel in that situation.

Yes. Hateful ideologies have been eliminated before. Actually, almost precisely this ideology has been eradicated before. In living memory too. Denazification. It is possible, but it takes an enormous and international effort. It would not be possible for Israel to do it alone. Nor would it be possible for the terrorist-apologist antisemites of the UN to have any part of it. It takes powerful nations with moral clarity, like the allies had after WW2 (the exact opposite of what we have now, sadly), and a long-term commitment (so, not something that's currently politically possible), but it is possible to do it. Islamo-Nazi hate almost certainly can't be eradicated entirely, just like Nazism still hasn't been eradicated entirely in Germany - but it can be reduced to a very small, pathetic fringe movement that does not pose an existential threat to an entire race of people.

I believe it should be possible to put antisemitism , and or hate for the jews aside , but only by the grace of God . Unless Palestinians recognize the right for Isreal to exist , it's unlikely to happen . Once the ideology of the Palestinians changes, then the rest will fall into place much more easily .

Have you seen what members of the government are saying? And they represent over 70% of the israelis. The problem was never the Palestinians but the aggressive occupiers.
1. Palestinians do'nt have industries ,why because izrahell want to control this aspect so they won't be independent economically, same for agriculture. They want the Palestinians to be dependent on work in izrahell, and they use it when they want to punish them if something happen. Over 60% are now unemployed and have no way to support their families.
Even the ones who worked in izrahell didn't get their rights: no work insurance, no medical insurance , no transportation payments, they don't get pension. And they aren't paid according to the law and no one inforce this.
2. They can't have water and electricity independence as again they want to have control of every aspect of their lives. They force them to be dependent on the izrahellis. So when they want to punish them again they use to cut off electricity and water for weeks.
3. Ask yourself why there aren't bomb shelters in Gaza? Look at all residential areas now, and you'll have your answer.
4. The Palestinians' children have very high educational grades. The majority of them want to go to academic studies, but unfortunately, their schools are being shut down every time there are incidents with the illegal occupiers. Children most of the time lose school days. They want to keep an image that most Palestinians are uneducated and fanatics. Even though they don't have much but most Palestinian families will try to give these opportunities for their children.
5. Ramalla is a mixed city with Christians and Muslims with amazing cultures that show the 2 religions. There are many americans who live in this beautiful mixed city. Same for Beit Lahem and East Jerusalem.
The Electronic Intifada have been for years covering the atrocities of izrahell in their videos and web.
So plz read and share and most importantly support them and come to visit and support their businesses which suffer a lot because of the occupiers and see with your own eyes the open air prison in all occupied Palestinians lands.
