game is way more rewarding/challenging and less chaotic when you only use 1 companion (or even none for some great 1v1)

This game is actually awesome. Heard some negative stuff, but took the plunge regardless due to being one of my favorite developers.
This is easier going then their usual games tbh, but. It was a very decent effort going for a single player open world.
The combat is satisfying.
i don't know why they have gone down this route seems the higher ups just want to cash in on trends rather than evolve the Nioh franchise cause Nioh 2 was top tier with build and enemy variety

This game has shockingly fewer enemy varieties.
Yea but makes up with the bosses at least for me I love how many cool styles we DONT get to play with so mad at that was looking forward to get Gensai Kawasakis move where he does a quick flash of slashes in front of him
well the variety seems small but when any enemy can wield any weapon and can have any of the stances etc, the complexity of variety in the fights is pretty satisfying imo. although i really miss the large roster of yokai and monsters etc from nioh and stranger of paradise

Its open world with combat focused on parrying and stance combat. More comparable to Wo Long gameplay wise imo

This game boss fight is terribly unsatisfied… i fought all boss and never get to really cut off their head or kill them.
