I told myself this when I first started seeing Khun's strategies, but much like a good portion of jojo characters, he's a tactical genius. His strategies remind me of Joseph in particular with how it seems nigh inescapable only to turn the tables instantly.
He's playing 4D chess while everyone else is playing parcheesi, is how I like to say it.

That's why Khun is brilliant, he only goes into combat if he has a certain degree of control over the situation.

Seeing khun’s intellect get animated in all of its glory is definitely one of the things I’m crossing off my bucket list.
Khun is really amazing. He tricked everyone on his team into showcasing their best abilities and teamwork and would have gotten them winning before switching the tide on them. it just shows how much control he has or maybe he's just Smart.
Actually, here's the fun thing - he didn't do it for everyone. He intentionally only put the ones from the friend list into positions where they would shine - Anaak by giving her the spotlight, while Shibisu and Lauroe already passed to begin with (the anime kind of made a mistake when Hansung said that Anaak was guaranteed to pass - after all just like Endorsi, she had to use up her points for medical expenses before so that help really benefited her). Meanwhile, all the other people in that team who weren't on the list basically got put into positions where they couldn't do much at all - remember that while some showed flashy things, ultimately they weren't able to accomplish anything vs Quant, and Khun probably knew that when he created the line-up.

the music that plays after Khun lets go is so sick. Really gives this anime its own voice and style
what I find amazing how the webtoon and anime show this scene similarly but differently.
the webtoon pads this out by making this a back and forth thing. Quant brings up his bag (which isnt in the anime version) saying how he knows he can stick items or people inside the bag, so he asks to open it to reveal Anaak. Khun proceeds this by stating that Hansung is the only person to know about the bag, but he states that he tried to put the tag in it before the match and he couldn't therefor his first thought was wrong. he asks to open the bag since Anaak could be in it and I believe he shows him nothing in it. Quant then actually jumps off cuz he found out his plan, but as he jumps he sees her jump up from the light house as he is falling.
in the anime they kinda cut all of that out and instead enforce the gap in power and knowledge by having Quant catch Khun at everything he says and counters each statement. he then throws Khun over with him with the idea that when the light house user is hurt in any form, the light house falls. leading him to catch Anaak. what he doesnt see coming is Anaak using Green April to catch Khun as he gets out of Quant. and then she rises up.
it accomplishes the same effect, but shows it off differently and I really like that.

In the manwha aa uses a suspended wheel and some rope, showing off just how well equiped he was because the material used to suspend the wheel was a really rare and expensive item called suspendium or something. SPOILERS yes in second season when Khun recruits Dan he does it by wagering a small piece of suspendium which Dan appraises could set him up for life so he doesn't have to work anymore.

Night Godd exactly it was mentioned once or twice in the webtoon and once again in the work shop and never brought up again so I’m glad they changed it.
I liked both versions. Just a shame that the anime cut out the "You are the only one who falls" line. But it got replaced by some happy singing, which im fine with

The thing I learned from thsi episode: Khun has balls of steel
Khun did a perfect strategy of how to deceive the "It" and so it worked as smoothly. This is how amazing Khun's brilliant mind was then.
But he also did a perfect strategy to lose his own team because he wants to help Bam's team to win and qualify for the position selection. What a great friend he was as he betrays his own test team for his friend list team though. I can't wait to see episode 9 and that would be awesome that you will understand what is wrong with Episode 8 like this.

I love this plan. It uses the systems of the world already set out and doesn’t pull anything ridiculous. Kuhn looked at all their options and predicted what he was going to do. This is an awesome anime

Khun is a good character, but the fact that his whole character is a reference to Kun Aguero, the football player, just makes him an even better one.
It's all a game for Khun to see how many pieces he can gain for the chess board game

Why dafq did you make it that Khun copied his lighthouse when in reality he was simply using 2? It's not like it's a big deal or anything to use multiple lighthouses at once.

If I remember correctly from the webtoon, Khun has 2 light houses which is really rare for regulars at that floor. I think he took them from his father's stash? It's not really explained in the anime, probably because this test is a fairly condensed version of the webtoon version.

Sadly the anime didn't explain the stuff within Khun's inventory, how light houses are operated using shinsu and are made from float stone, or how Khun could operate two light houses at once. It's still great despite that, but that may only be true throughout the eyes of anime-onlies...
That's the point. They're not trying to waste time & bore the anime onlys with exposition when they're trying to get to the same ending as season 1 in the webtoon.
@@GD-oe5ws unfortunately anime doesn't always cut out only "boring stuff" and "exposition", sometimes it cuts out really important information and funny scenes, or some scenes are less intense in anime

I’ve only watched the anime so to me it looked like stuff just happened and Khun is a genius just “because”. I had no idea they explained that stuff in the webtoon. It’s insanely important to establish the rules of a game before you play it in front of an audience. Float stone? Lighthouses are operated by shinsu? Sounds like it could’ve been amazing.

but it was a bad idea not to explain the light house because yet again they did that with wave controller test and now this seriously the anime needs to atleast focus on the combat system for once cause thats gonna really effect later seasons( granted if they do get them) when they start the real fights no one gonna know what going on
