Return to office: Employees have more say in where they work, HqO CEO says

The office market continues to be challenged as employees push back against return to office policies. HqO Co-Founder and CEO Chase Garbarino joins Yahoo Finance Live to discuss the importance of what employees want out of returning to the office. “We have this very fundamental shift where a much broader population of, you know, the employee base has significantly more say in where they work,” Garbarino says. “The category as a whole is undergoing, you know, a significant transformation... which is being much more data driven about what their customers want out of their product,” Garbarino adds. Garbarino explains that there needs to be a “much more granular conversation around the data of why we’re trying to bring people back, why it’s good for the employee experience, and, you know, ultimately how it's going to make the company and the employees more production while managing work-life balance.”

Yeah sorry bro all of the “productivity” talk isn’t going anywhere. Nobody cares what employers say we will leave the companies that we don’t want to work for. We are leaving for remote only companies.
Yep why pay for a lease when you get the same output from your employees working from home. I doubt productivity has anything to do with it
Mark my words…Companies that get aggressive in returning to the office will have their talent pool pillaged by their competitors!
Talent pays the bills, PERIOD!
The problem in that statement is that once applying scrutiny to the definition of that word "talent" .....
most will find themselves on the expendable list.
Working for the competition that does allow homeworking is what is going to happen.
These companies are in for a rude awakening threatening their employees like this. They are fighting the inevitable. They dont realize that Gen Z doesn't have to work remotely to not be present, they can be right in the office and be checked out mentally and not communicate with anyone. This next generation coming behind millennials have very little interpersonal skills.
I’m just waiting for our bonus to drop this year and watch the after math of my company telling people to come back. It’s nonsense.

NO! Not only is it detrimental to productivity to have remote workers it’s also by far the worst customer service and lack or will to solve issues. BUT by far the biggest threat you all need to under is the security threat or your information being giving to a person sitting at their home with who knows next to them in an unmonitored setting-taking your personal information and account info to do who knows what with. This will absolutely be the end of our business growth and customer privacy if these companies continue to support remote workers. Certain jobs maybe but nothing that entails personal information and account access.
That can happen in the office. Also that is breaking the law no matter if its home or in the office. Nice try.
