Your intro is so true! I went bananas in the beginning and ordered so many Middle Eastern frequences. Some were hits but most were duds. Made me stop purchasing since it makes more sense to buy a bottle that I actually know and love from a known brand. Thank you for your video 😊

Loved this video...Mystique Bouquet by Afnan is very good. It's in a green bottle like Le Fleur bouguet and said to be a valaya dupe. ....I have both and I have to agree. I also liked Khair Pistachio. Gifted it to my Mom since I have yum pistachio.

I absolutely agree with you that the affordable prices are a bit of a rabbit hole. I'm more inclined to blind buy, because they are so affordable. But so far, I mostly found fragrances that are just okay. And then I end up decluttering them quite fast. In the end it still is a waste of money.
Yes, I love a cheapie, but I still want a fragrance that I love, not just one that is okay for the money.

I totally agree. I went way too overboard buying cheapies and so many were only ok and you can’t really resell cause not worth anything so you’re out that money. I’m being so much more careful about blind buys this year and buying at all. I’m not one to spend over $100 on any perfume and I am such a deal hunter too.

I own about 8 middle eastern fragrances and I think I'm good. I rather just buy niche or design since the middle easterns are (most times) just duping.
Jackie is 100% right about Modest Deux. I've owned it for two years and it is fantastic! Just don't over spray because it's intense😂

I was going to give Modest Deaux away but then I decided to layer it with Purple Suede. Let me tell you what...that combo is amazing. It's like a girly more feminine Tuscan Leather to me.
I bought so many and decluttered most of them. Only Amber Oud Rouge. Fleur Bouquet and Sublime made the cut! Love them! Royal Musk by Al Haramain is one I’m waiting to use in the summer and decide… Nebras, Honor and Glory, Royal Niche Vert and Ajayeb Portrait are so hyped right now but they didn’t work for me. I’m staying away from Middle Eastern fragrances for now but I’m always curious to see what people like. 😉

My favorites are Modest Deux and Khair Pistachio!
I have Casablanca, but I had to let it sit for four months before I could smell what others described. For that reason alone, it’s not a favorite. I want to wear (and like) a fragrance immediately, even if it does improve with time.

Actually, Attar is sold in a fancy perfume store where I sometimes buy (mostly samples). Khaltat Night is great. I also have Hayati (red bottle), nice fruity creamy scent. Bought Azalea, which is a Black Orchid dupe... 😵💫 I tried it once. I should give it another go... I still enjoy Nebras a lot. I enjoy my 2 Lost Cherry dupes. One is more boozy and spicy... I have Yara Tous... It's oxidizing at the moment... Oud Tonka is great. It felt like a softer version of Velvet Tonka to me. 🤷♀️ But I only got it about a month ago.

Khair Pistachio, Khamrah and Qahwa are my top 3 . Badee al oud Sublime and Nebras are also worthwhile for me. Have you tried Ansaam Gold ?

I read in reviews Attar Khaltair is similar to Khamrah.(?) I recently bought Amberythme and it has the same profile too.
One that I really enjoy it is orientica Melodie, it has such a great longevity.

I think i'm good on the ME fragrances. I'm not interested in paying for 3 or 4 subpar ME frags to find a halfway decent dupe for ONE niche fragrance. After spending all that money, I could've just paid for the original Niche frag. OAN... Oud Tonka is my favorite ME fragrance. I have a very large earring collection. More than perfumes lol. I get earrings from various different boutiques, online etc … almost every time I shop and I get a lot of earrings as gifts from friends/family because they know I love earrings. I can’t keep each pair straight as to which ones I got from where. I have too many! lol 😆

I recently got Jasmine Wisp and it’s the best Middle Eastern fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I am obsessed!! Imagine Erba Pura/ Kirke, but sweeter and not as sharp, but with more amber and coconut.
I also Khair Fusion (Kayali Sprakling Lychee dupe) on the way!
I’m probably going to blind but Khair fusion. I’m tempted 😆

I’ve only tried 1 middle eastern perfume. Matter of fact it came today. It’s called Batikh. It smells like watermelon. Really cute little bottle. I was wearing it and my husband reminded me that he doesn’t like watermelon. LOL. Too bad mister! I’m wearing it 😅

I fell for the MIddle Eastern fragrance hype because they were “affordable”, and now I have 13 bottles, only 5 of which are loves. The duds sit there and mock me saying, “Hah! You could have bought that really expensive niche fragrant that you LOVE for what you paid for us”😄 The 5 that are actually in my LOVES are 1.Rifaaqat by Paris Corner 2. Modest Deux by Afnan 3. Affection by Lataffa (another beautiful Yum Pistachio dupe.) 4.Junoon by Haramain and 5. Khamra Qahwa by Lataffa. Most of the losers have this sickly sweet note that just make me nauseous. It kind of smells like old wet diapers to my nose.😷

Love khair pistachio and my attar collection has grown also.i agree quality niche perfumes at a decent price.not sure if you've got your nose on this perfume but if not check out lataffa ajayeb dubai portrait. A great mango fragrance. Very sexy and fun.😊❤

I bought Dusk by The Woods Collection, after hearing it is a very good dupe for Layton, but unfortunately, I don’t have the original to compare it to. I will say, it wasn’t a love, but maybe Layton wouldn’t have been either.🤷🏻♀
Also, Dusk is quite masculine in my opinion, as opposed to being unisex, and I am one who loves unisex fragrances and am not afraid of leaning masculine. This is so masculine I will probably give it to my brother.

I have almost all of these either in my cart or wish list on Jomashop. I need to pull the trigger. Did they post the wrong notes for Afnan 9pm Femme? It doesn't show rose, iris or raspberry as any of the notes. I just ask because the way you described it sounds better than the notes listed, lol
There are a few different fragrances with 9 in it from Afnan. 9pm pour femme is raspberry, rose, iris etc in the notes. It’s confusing lol 😆 there’s 9am and 9pm and his/hers… 😝

Ameer Al oud intense, Khamrah, Ghanaam, Oudain, Jasmine Wisp are very good in my opinion. Teriaq and December Vanilla are not it for me.

ME fragrances are a rabbit hole that I haven’t embarked on. Like you said, a lot are hyped for no good reason. I feel that reviewers are buying and recommending everything they can get their hands on, to get on the bandwagon because they attract a lot of views. If you compare the stats on some channels, these videos garner a lot of views and new subscribers, so the cycle of overbuying continues.
It’s hard to filter the noise, so a roundup video from Jackie who I trust, is much appreciated!

@bunty4482 Qahwa is almost identical to Khamrah. It may be redundant to get both. The coffee note is not very strong and goes away in the dry down.
