Drove from Flagstaff to Phoenix in March and yes, some snow in Flagstaff for sure. I had never been in a true desert before and it finally got me at the rest stop on the way to Tucson. Cacti 🌵 and 100% dry and 70•F. Now I live in Glendale!
The desert is amazing!
I was born and grew up in Chicago, but man, I love the Southwest. I did that drive back in 1974 and again in 1988. That is sweet freedom. The openness, the scenery is beautiful. I hope to do it again in the future.👍
We’re originally from the Chicagoland area too. Love the openness and freedom of driving out west!
Such a beautiful scenery.
💙🤍 Thanks for watching!!!
the SouthWest ROCKS!!!!!🤣
Great drive on I-17 southbound, with big altitude differences, descending from snowy Flagstaff to Phoenix. You had also a great weather day and did the best with it, thanks for sharing the video, greetings from a roadtripper from Germany!
Thanks! Yes the descent down into the Sonoran Desert is very nice!
Really enjoying these drives. 👍👍
💙 Thanks!
It’s so interesting to see the places where there’s still snow and right after them the desert 🏔️🏜️😍 That’s not something that you can see in my country 🇧🇷
Agreed, very neat to watch the landscape rapidly change from snowy forest to desert as the elevation decreases. Thanks so much for watching!!! ❤️🤍💜
That's partly due to the difference in elevation. Flagstaff is on the Colorado Plateau, and is several thousand feet higher than Phoenix.
Flagstaff is over 7000 ft. Elevation and in just a couple hours you are in Phoenix at 2000 ft. Elevation makes all the difference! I live in the Valley. 😊❤
Others mention the elevation and it’s actually burning gas to go up the hill and a bit of wear on your brakes to go down it, I do try to stay off the brakes. And yawning the whole time to pop my ears.
My grandparents had a place in Munds Park so I made this drive many-a-times as a kid.
💚💙
The most fun part of the drive. Right after sunset Point going down the mountain near Bumblebee. Even better when no one is around.
💙🧡
I lived in Flag for a while and have done that drive many times. Lots of great views the entire way
Beauty of it's own.
Lots of open space.
Nice ride along.
🧡💛 Thanks for riding along with us!
i love the vast openness of the southwest. the complete opposite of the northeast.
You definitely get big open views out west for sure!
AMEN to that😊
BIG thanks for making these video's!!!!!😁
Glad you enjoy them. Thanks!
Another great video Thank you! 😃🤙
🤍💙 Thanks!

Yes, a rainy winter in the west has had a huge impact!
Love your videos!
Thank you!

Beautiful video. Make a separate video on downtown Phoenix. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
💙
As someone who lives in the UK and sees grey skys 330 days of the year this is what I need.
❤️ Happy to help! We lived around Chicago for a long time and unfortunately it sounds like we had similar weather.
My FA48 part of 17, is from Bumblebee, south, the curvy area🤩
🧡
Great all around video.....good job
Happy you enjoyed it, thanks!
wow , now theyre widening 17 to new river!

As distinctive as Saguaro for Arizona, are its Ponderosa Pine savannas (Oregon may disagree!).
Phoenix looks to be a really handsome city, and they spiff up their freeway infrastructure really keen, which helps!
Now, you're going to have to drive the reverse of this, and show us!!
I’m sure we’ll be making that video of the reverse trip someday soon. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful countryside!
WOW the LOVE'S/PILOT are new! was No stops on 17 when i was there
Bet it used to be very desolate and empty!
@@AdventureEveryDay PHX grows soo fast, I Wish I had idea in 2001 to drive it and record.
I never thought that you could see snow in Arizona. It's always warm there. What time of year did you film the video?
The elevation in Flagstaff is nearly 7,000 feet, and snow is quite common there. This drive was recorded in spring.
😊Awesome views!
Thanks! 💛
Did that drive 2days ago
💙🤍
Elvis has a song for this video: "I feel my temperature rising, Help me, I'm flaming, I must be a hundred and nine."
💙
Great video, but I´m sorry you didn´t stop at some ghost towns!
طريق ممتاز جداً
Goooood from iraq
💙
I love that drive! What are you using to mount the camera? Great video
The Flagstaff stretch of I-17 is beautiful, but the crappy pavement takes away from the experience.
Love this. What are you using to film?

i live in phoenix 🤭
Great city!
Bumper b 💛💛💛🚗🚗🚗
The left lane is for passing.
could use a self driving car
I'm gonna guess that you are a Leo.
i hate the way this movie ends
Shame AZ DOT doesn't take better care of I-17. These roads are terrible.
Some portions of I-17 are pretty awful and unsafe
@@AdventureEveryDay Seems like the first 30 minutes going south from Flagstaff is the worst. Gets the most traffic and freeze/thaw. I remember growing up in Arizona in the 70's and I-17 was constantly being repaved and kept up.
Hello, it is Easter and I am eating a giant chocolate bunny and wearing my Thomas the train costume while watching your videos. Will you put more train videos please?
💙❤️
The highway/interstate looks like it's falling apart...it's all cracked, beat up, rippled....very neglected! USA has very neglected, outdated, decaying and crumbling infrastructure. USA is known for not investing in its infrastructure.
