    In Luhyaland, one gets what one sees. They're not pretentious. What you saw is what it is....true to self and their traditions.

    the daughter in law is not fed chicken as a first meal when visiting the in laws. its a practice for the luhiyias and luos. You will eat it when you visit for the second time and there after. But for the son in laws, they are fed chicken first when they visit their inlaws

    The 'beans' you ate with chapati are called lentils or dengu in swahili - it is a legume

      With kyuks it is the other way round, the gizzards are specially reserved for the women even the goat kidney.
