At last!...Pretty wonderful insights... In Luhyaland, one gets what one sees. They're not pretentious. What you saw is what it is....true to self and their traditions. Blend in and have a blissful life 👍
the daughter in law is not fed chicken as a first meal when visiting the in laws. its a practice for the luhiyias and luos. You will eat it when you visit for the second time and there after. But for the son in laws, they are fed chicken first when they visit their inlaws
Congratulations on becoming hitched to a Mulembe (luhya) man from Western Kenya amazing. Make for him lots of ugali, kuku, murenda(ask him what it is) and of course the chai. 😊Be blessed Missi and wish you both blessings from heaven. 🙏🏿
Thank you, I will. Yes I know Mrenda we have some in Nigeria as well but we prepare it to be slimy to eat with swallow, I was so excited when I saw some in Kenya 😅 Thanks Dylan, bless you as well 🥰

Hey miss, some of those traditions dont apply to the whole luhya community, like for me chicken is eaten anytime
Okay cool, thanks for clarifying that for us. Thanks for watching 🥰😍
It's a Luhya thing
Okay noted, thanks 😊
Am a luhya, and this is what I know, women are not allowed to eat gizzard?!
With kyuks it is the other way round, the gizzards are specially reserved for the women even the goat kidney.
Very true
True, I have been told about this as well. But I love gizzard 😢
😂🤩 premium enjoyment for the women then
Busia....weee
😍🤩 all the way
Luhyas, aah hizo traditions zote ni za Nini 😝
Traditions should be preserved though except they are bad traditions that needs to changed or let go of 😊
We are what we are through traditions and cultures! Luhyas or any other community are well grounded because of sticking to traditions
So your alrady taken, thought it was a prank.
😂🤣 sorry bro, it wasn’t a prank 😅
