I love your perspective on the approach. I'm 61 and have dieted since 10. I'm still fat. So I too take a different mindset. Life is not for starving myself or not having good food. Health and happiness together ❤️
I'm with you, I despise fat free foods! Yuck! I also have learned at 59 years of age to listen to my body finally and if I am really craving something, eat it because maybe my body needs something in that, minus junk food of course. I have an addiction to anything with refined sugar in it so I am also avoiding all of those WW 'treats' you can make like peanut butter pie etc because even if they use artificial sweeteners, it just triggers that desire to eat the whole pie, LOL! I just started WW last week. I used to go wayyyyy back in the day and back then I did eat the WW peanut butter pies which were delicious by the way, but today's metabolism isn't so forgiving. Love your videos, keep sharing! Than you!
Thanks so much Kristi. I love hearing your common sense approach to weight loss and life in general. I'm 73 years old, I've been a WW lifetime member for many years and have been on a diet my whole life! I started with WW back in 1966 when meetings were held in peoples' homes and you had to eat liver once a week! I'm going back on the new Weight Watchers program and I'm so happy I've found your channel to help guide this journey. Keep up the good work!
Great job Kristi. Like you I started WW again this week. I’m a nurse I’m 63 years old and today I walked 14,000 steps. That increased my weeklies from 28 to 34. However I’m not going to pay attention to those few extra points. What are your thoughts on that.
Wow Debbie!! Great job!! You have inspired me!! I totally understand. I honestly dont use my fitness points. I kinda feel like WW gives too many for the amount of fitness. But thats just me. I know some peoole who use every single point, even fitness points. Im sure its different for everyone.
Kristy you are so absolutely beautiful and you really don't need to lose any weight at all... I completely understand trying to be healthy but don't beat yourself up for being a couple pounds overweight... I call it being pleasantly plump and I'm quite sure you're husband would agree with me... With that being said just know that you're beautiful Kristi..! Thanks for sharing all of your excellent videos!!!
Recently started WW , January 1 , and so happy to find your channel ! Day 17 for me and I absolutely love weight watchers ! I see video binging in my future ! I want to learn all I can ! I am looking forward to watching your journey !
Hi Joyce. No, I usually am up where I like to be - with my range between 1300 and 1700 points. I do eat a good amount of my zero-point foods which increases my calories, and I also eat my weeklies as well. Back years ago when I would ONLY eat my daily amount and I didn't focus more on whole foods (I used to eat a lot of packaged food back then), then I would find my calories were really low. Hope that helps! :)
I can totally relate to that. I used to do that and it worked very well for me. I agree it definitely works for those who understand the scale and understand the fluctuations in the body. So, in your situation, sounds like you've got that all down and it's working well for you. :)
I've tried, but just not for me. I did add some ff cottage cheese into a baked spaghetti recipe to add a little protein and that was great. So, I think I'll use it for added protein and creaminess to recipes.
Also - forgot to mention in the other one, I eat all my weeklies, but not necessarily all my exercise points. Those get added in too, but I don't always eat those - it really depends.
Very realistic ideas. When I became lifetime it was vanity as well. However I'm a foodie and gained 1/2 back, lost it again and COVID hit gained again. Now I look at numbers- age I'm 66, b/p, cholesterol, sugar etc. THEN daily I look at calories, macros and most importantly nutrients. So I think you're doing great!!
YES!! Those numbers definitely take priority. I could have cared less about those in my 30s, but now they are sooo important! Thanks so much, my friend!! 🥰
Hi Kathy! It's just self-rising flour and nonfat Greek yogurt. I have a video where I make strombolis using it. If you're interested, the video is here: ua-cam.com/video/kh_99lzeAQY/v-deo.html
Amen sister! I am also lifetime from 1991. I’m 58 and 59 is around the corner in January. Just joined again on Monday. Tracking is such the key! Thanks for your videos!😊
I really need to focus on real food versus processed food. When I focus on points I think oh these chips are only 4 points incan do that, this cookie 3 points I can make that work. That is not helpful. So I look at macros amd try to meet those targets
I know completely what you mean, Penny! I was always doing that. I still do it but I take a look at my day to make sure I've had some good nutritious food as well. But just don't deprive myself. Like you though, the macros definitely open my eyes and make me choose different foods.
Great attitude! I understand. I used to be fearful of those extras years ago. Then I found my calories weren't anywhere near where they needed to be! You're right! This is life! :)
Happy Thanksgiving Kristi…. Enjoyed your video You are a beautiful person inside and out.. we are grateful for all of your videos God bless you and your family Enjoy your day
Hi Kristi. Great video as always. I started back with WW last Wednesday and ended up with the flu on Friday. That, in turned, showed up a cardiac issue I didn’t know I had. I was back at the doctor this morning, so weighed down 8+ pounds. Flu will do that. Now I’m in the hospital, being poked, prodded, X-rayed, and monitored, and I hope I’ll go home tomorrow if the cardiologist figures out what’s going on. The (only) meal I had today was easy to track: 1/2 cup steamed broccoli, 1/2 cup brown rice ( that I couldn’t finish), 3 ounces chicken breast, 1 ounce teriyaki sauce, 1/2 cup fresh pineapple. Oh, and a sprig of parsley. Healthy. I’m imagining that when I’m back on my feet I’ll probably gain a little back. Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh my goodness, Lisa!!! I'm so sorry to hear all this!!! I hope it's nothing serious. Please take care of yourself!! And yes, I'm sure you'll gain a little back, and I'm sure you want to because that's definitely not the fun way to lose!! I hope you are able to go home today!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!! 💞💞
Thanks Kristi! Great video! I agree with everything you said! 66 years old here. Having a tough time with activity because of some issues with knees and back. Wow, you had a great week. Good job!
Sooo true Rita!! I can honestly say there are hardly any days I feel like I'm starving. But back in the day, I do remember going to bed soooo hungry but feeling like a failure if I ate something. Sooo not good!
I enjoy my WW program so much. Is that weird? I don’t care. 137 lbs down! I love it. Great video, I enjoyed your prospective on the “blue dot”.
Not weird at all, Lois. It's all about what makes us happy. :)
I love your meal preps! I just don't have room to store them!!
I understand! I definitely have to make room for them each week! ;)
I love your perspective on the approach. I'm 61 and have dieted since 10. I'm still fat. So I too take a different mindset. Life is not for starving myself or not having good food. Health and happiness together ❤️
You are sooo right!! It's all about moderation! :)
Your attitude is amazing and you are one of my favorite UA-camrs. I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🦃

I’m new here, and also new to WW….and I love your videos!! Thank you for all the tips!
Thanks so much, and welcome! So glad you are loving my videos! 😊😊
When you hit your points do you feel it’s eating to low calories. Cause I’ve tracked and sometimes 900 calories
Hi Joyce. No, I usually am up where I like to be - with my range between 1300 and 1700 points. Same for me about the ice cream!🤣 I appreciate your honestly and pretty much feel the same way. Started tracking again today.😊
Thanks so much, Missy!! Great job on the tracking! 😊
I weigh in everyday. It’s a tool. I learned that on my last program. Cause I play scale games. Don’t want to do it again so I weigh in daily.
I can totally relate to that. I used to do that and it worked very well for me. I agree it definitely works for those who understand the scale and understand the fluctuations in the body. So, in your situation, sounds like you've got that all down and it's working well for you. :)
Oh gosh…I am so “with you” on the fat free plain yogurt and far free cottage cheese . Just can’t stand them.
I've tried, but just not for me. I did add some ff cottage cheese into a baked spaghetti recipe to add a little protein and that was great. So, I think I'll use it for added protein and creaminess to recipes.
Feels like my Story💜

By way I get same points as you
Also - forgot to mention in the other one, I eat all my weeklies, but not necessarily all my exercise points. Those get added in too, but I don't always eat those - it really depends.
