52. decluttering and organizing my stationery

- making this video took me a few days and a lot of hours but Anna and her #stationeryminimalism videos inspired me so so much during the last two months that I really wanted to do something like her. Thank you Anna for your inspiration, always.
I know I don't have a HUGE stationery collection compared to other people, but I really wanted to be as minimalist as possible and just keep the things that make me really really happy. I still consider that I have a lot of stationery, more than what I need but I'm trying. This was just the first step.

I never considered taping my sticker sheets in a journal...what a simple yet genius idea!

oh I know! haha sometimes my decisions weren't easy to make, although I love everything I just had to let some things go. I feel a little bit selfish having them just for the sick of having them haha I love them but I know another person is going to love them even more than me ❤️
oh how i missed my dose of ana. thoroughly enjoyed every second of this! it was fascinating watching you pick and discard the things you don't need - it puts a lot of things i want into perceptive as well. like there's so many things i want but i have no idea if i'll use them or not and this reminded me just because i like the look of something, doesn't mean i'll end up using it. so thank you for that ana! so many beautiful washi tapes and stickers too! but i understand why you had to let them go. we've all been there haha

that happens to me too! of course I love everything but I had to discard the things that I know I'm not gonna use a lot in the near future. It was hard but I'm so happy with the result!!! By the end of the year, I don't know if I would make another clean up like this one but I would try!!

I have just found your channel and have been watching a few over the last 45 minutes or so. I admire that you have your collection down to just those things that you love. I wish I could get myself into that frame of mind. I have so many things that I don’t know what I have or where things are anymore. I feel a huge purge coming on, thank you for the inspiration!
oh Jo Anne welcome!! So happy you have found me haha I'm not going to lie, it was soooo hard, in reality these 11 minutes were like 3 or 4 hours...the process was hard but I couldn't be happier! I truly recommend you to do that, my desk is cleaner and also my mind haha I don't need to look around a lot for one thing and I use what I know I have! maybe one free day this summer you can also do the same ♡
Ana Jiménez Hi Ana! I’m doing it today! I really wanted to jump out of bed during the night and get started, lol. My main problem is that I have no one to hand things to, and I have a massive amount of things that I am attached to. Perhaps I will list things on EBay, or donate to an after school program... I will see, but I know I can’t continue to hold on to stuff. Your video is a huge inspiration to me to just get moving! X

Ana Jiménez Hi Ana! I had life get in the way yesterday, but I did make a first cut into my washi stash...second cut comes today. My style has changed quite a bit since I first started journaling, so in a way, it is easy to lose most of it! 😉 I feel like it will take me weeks to go through my art space, just hoping I don’t lose motivation by then!

I needed this because currently my desk is a Grand Canyon of ephemera, washi, stickers, paper, pens, and glue. When I try to sort and purge everything sparks joy. sigh.
A grand canyon hahaha I totally understand that feeling but I'm glad my video could help a little bit and gave you motivation to turn that canyon into a smaller one haha ❤️

I know this video is a year old but I had to stop it and sort out my washi as soon as I saw this beginning.🥰 I keep about 10 of my washi in a little container. I switch them out about once every 2 weeks to keep them rotated. The other 50nor more are in a clear washi drawer on my desk. 😜🙄😳
oh Melissa, is it a year old? wow time really flies! I'm so glad to read that! I've accumulated a few new rolls for the past year so maybe it's time to do this over again haha but it's such a great idea your method! I love it so much. YOU HAVE SO MANY haha

i like to minimalise my stationery too, it’s easy to journal and it makes it more clear to see what i have!
(but sadly when i see you discarding tons of stationeries and a bt21 washi, i wished i could be your sister...)

u make me wanna declutter my huge mess of stationery cuz i really dont use the majority of them anymore :( it's just so hard to let them go
i need to do this again honestly...it's been forever and I feel like I still have more than I use. It's always hard to let them go, yes, especially because I love everything...but I just need to understand that if i haven't used that beautiful washi for 2 years, I'm not going to use it today neither tomorrow haha

Why did you wrap some washi tape on those pieces of paper? I’ve seen many people do that but i don’t really understand stand why? Is it bc you’re running out? Also what kind of paper did you use i might try that method for washi tape I’m running low on
Hi Paola! I'm doing that because I'm not gonna use the entire roll so I just took a little bit, wrap them and gave the roll to my sister. But usually, I do this when I'm going on vacation or I want to journal outside and I don't want to take three rolls with me bc they are bulky. Also, a lot of people wrap washitape on pieces of paper to give them on happy mail to their friends and you can share your stationery that way! And the paper it's just whatever you want to use. I'm using here watercolor paper bc it was the only thing that I had. Hope I've been helpful! ♡

When im watching stationary videos i always wonder " why people have lots of tapes?!" Whats these tapes use for!!! Everyone have sooo muuch of them but in my country no one owns even one !
yeah here in Spain not a lot of people know what those are haha so I totally get you. Those are washi tapes and they are used for decorative purposes. The good thing about it is that is easy to remove without causing damage to the surface or, in this case, the paper. Maybe this video is helpful: ua-cam.com/video/I45J8MV5bmg/v-deo.html
