- This is a video about using soft pastel (crayons), and charcoal on the gelli plate, but it’s also a video about how to work intuitively on a piece that you started on the gelli plate, painting on it, correcting some areas, to end up with a complex mixed media project.

Probably the most spectacular portrait on gel plate I 've seen so far. Thank you for sharing this project ,as well for the whole series of Dummie tutorials . I have absolutely loved as it was rough pull out from the plate . I am big fan of blurry , messy , irregular images . I also held my breath while you were pulling the paper lol So glad that You Tube suggested me your channel . I have hit the subscribe button almost instantly , have the bell on to make sure not missing any of the uploads. Thank you again for the time you spend not only to create and teach us how to but for editing the video that is extra time and I know from personal experience , sometime is a pain in the back lol Take care xx

Too bad you didn't start over again and show the entire plate. I lost interest trying to imagine what was happening.
I'm sorry you feel that way.I suppose you mean the first example of the stylised person? For me, that drawing was not important, just the quick transfer of the pastel pencil, that I showed on a half plate. Then I made a whole new drawing, much more detailed, and showed the whole plate, working on with mixed media. I hope you'll try again, watching the entire video this time.
