That guy from the fire crew deserves a raise. That was one hell of a chaotic wreck (one of the craziest I've seen), with stuff happening all over, including multiple rollovers, all of which would be distracting and make it hard to identify where to go first. And yet he spots the one car, at the back of it all, on fire, within a split second of it erupting in flames, and is already running towards it. You could see the other crew start to make their way towards some of the rolled cars, before spotting the flames. That guy was on the ball. That was first class crash response right there, and kudos to the race director getting them stopped quickly as well. And how about Larson picking his way through that wreck and making it look easy.
That is crazy how quick you guys get these highlights out after the checkers! 👍 #respect
He'll of a job Larson. Came in second but hell of a job. Still my favorite driver.
Been a dirt fan on him for a while and in nascar jimmie was my favorite now it’s obviously larson
@@haydenrenner7886 same man. Nice to now ya
Larson is a talent that you don't find everyday. The kid is an ABSOLUTE BEAST in a racecar!
Larson is one hell of a racer
I've watched him since I was on fire crew at Silver Dollar Speedway. Watching him from the beginning to now, this all is no surprise. He's amazingly talented. To me, he is the greatest all-around driver of all time. He will never beat Steve kinser's all-time win record. I don't think anybody ever will LOL but Kyle Larson in one year alone has won in every class that he's raced. Weather it be late models, NASCAR, midget, World of Outlaws sprint cars. This is something that we've never seen before. Tony Stewart was great in his day at racing many different race cars, so was AJ foyt. But the sort of success that Kyle has had in so many forms of racing, and at the highest level of those forms of racing, is unmatched in history. I feel so lucky to have watched his career grow first hand, and to have met and hung out with him many times and seen him win and rarely lose. This is all really special and one day when we're Super old we're going to be telling our kids and grandkids about Kyle Larson. It's really a treat to see this happen.
@3:07 that man with the fire tank is a hero... wow!!! dodged the car and saved a life ....WOW
2:16 HUGE PROPS to that safety worker for responding to that fire! Running through cars that were still moving to put out that fire, great stuff!
At my local track safety crew doesn't even know how to use a fire extinguisher
Massive respect to the safety crew, and also to the Knoxville/Dirt Vision/World of Outlaws production crew. There's 24 cars all spread out and you never miss a thing. There's a camera on seemingly every car at all times. Given the nasty circumstances of the wrecks in this race, the crews of both production and safety gave A+ performances. Also not to mention how racey the track was after getting dumped on by rain earlier in the day. Just everything was handled extremely well.
Mad props to those track worker's. Way to be on that 🔥
Shoutout to the safety crews for dealing with the crashfests. They’re the real winners
And the safety
That guy got to that fire real quick. He deserves recognition for his quick action
Hats off to you guys for posting quality highlights that truly have all the highlights. Good run from Kahne.
How Larson made his way through that crash was incredible.glad everyone was ok.way to hang in there Kyle 🏁
That safety crew is on point
What a night, glad everyone is ok. That turn three wreck was crazy, been a while since I saw a methanol fire.
@NuBz yes, blue in the evening. In the daytime it's really scary because you can't see it at all. I was at a race in Thompson Connecticut where a NEMA midget lost a fuel line in the feature- which was occurring during the afternoon. Everyone was trying to figure out why he just suddenly slowed and stopped- until he started scrambling out of the car. So frightening to see, but he was ok.
Great job by the track crew dealing with the mayhem! Also, Great eye by the camera person to pick up the piece of debris that caused a caution!
Thankfully Paul's car was upright while on fire, and the number 3 car did a good job getting his car slowed down in time softening the impact for Macedo.
Larson and Kahne, B mains to 2nd and 6th, That's driving.
Exciting race!! GOTTA LOVE THE NATIONALS
Nice job Brian Brown you are following in the foot steps of some of the best people I know George Danny Tom and your Dad Robert all really good men just like you are GREAT JOB I'll be a hopen your a winner Saturday night
I'm very very sad I had to miss this one! What a race!
The wreck in the beginning was mental
U guys had a better highlight video than the Knoxville UA-cam page did!!!!
some scary wrecks there, glad everyone is OK
Can't wait for you guys to come to i-80 greenwood ne
That was a great sprint car race i love when Brian brown and Kyle Larson run a great race there also some other great sprint car racers in this race
Now that was great racing.
Congratulations Brian 👏. 👏 🙌
The Knoxville fire crew didn't waste any time. Hats off to them!
They needed foam.
Surprised they don't have it. That or the foam rig was almost there when the edit cut to something else.
Brown has been fast leading up to now and really seems to want it this year!!
From 21st to 2nd. Wow
Crazy, crazy, crazy!. What a race!
That Larson guy is too good lol
Larson is the man.
It's like who do you go for some very crazy good racing
Knoxville Safety crews are the best! I hated to see all that racing equipment destroyed at anytime but especially during the Nationals. Brian Brown and Kyle Larson drove an excellent race. Is there a better week in the whole year?!?!
Brown had that car set up perfect
DAM 14 cars. lmao like watching NASCAR.
I'm glad no one was hurt.
Larson, best in the Nation.
Brent Marks gets 3rd and in a great qualifying spot for Saturday and the PA Posse best hope for Saturday.
Good for Brown 🤙🏼
That napa car is 🔥
Dern Larson was on the move
Wait til you see Owen Larson run.
21st to 2nd doing it around the bottom. Unbelievable!!
Hope the law firm is ok after that hard ride! Great racing tho after all the crashes, gonna be a stacked field this weekend!!
It's gonna be a stacked field for tonight's LC-Main!
Larson 24th to 2nd was great
Some costly wrecks. Great racing.
5 flips in one crash, crazy
Sammy swindell was TICKED about that wreck
tfw Friday the 13th begins and you go from sprint cars to Sport Mods
Gooo. KYLE Larson. Goooo 👍👍
1:23 It ripped the torque tube and drive shaft out. Nasty.
I wonder what it feels like to be Brad Sweet and not be the best sprint car driver in the family? I vote Kyle Larson for GOAT!
Brad is third quick in that family. You have no idea of Owens talent.
Damn! Brown looked badfast there&his lead on Larson was increasing!! Complete different track Saturday, especially with all the mains. I'd say Gravel or Larson&my guts telling me Larson👍
Watch it be Schatz😂
@@Malibu1515 Schatz is up there with them to start. I know it’s not prime Schatz, but this race should be a damn good one.
@@babremmerkamp should go off 3rd but I don't know if they redraw here at Nats. Something tells me here you gotta earn your starting spot
@@Malibu1515 no more redraws on Sat night. First three rows are as follows: Gio Scelzi, Sweet, Larson, Marks, Schatz, and Gravel. It is all HEAVY HITTERS in like the first 5 rows. Pretty stoked for this one!
@@babremmerkamp ya if Donny can't win it I'm pulling for Gio. He's from my home town. Also hope Macedo does well too. He,s just down the road from me
Of the 16 drivers that are locked in for Saturday's A main $200000 to win feature only 5 regular World of Outlaws drivers are in the top 16. The race is $150000 to win with a potential of $200000 to win if a driver leads every lap.
A lap or two & that race was all Larson's !! He drive his ass off from all the way in the back !! Those boys better look out tomorrow night
Larson 👍
Fire sucks! Glad everyone was ok!
Brownymania well fucking done he deserves it a hard worker behind the wheel well done champ. I have a soft spot for browny why because he never stops trying until you get 1st and others realize you are a threat for the win your nothing but when you win everyone goes who what where he come from so browny is that special hidden talent look out nationals 2021
Larson is a bad man!!
Who’s better than Kyle Larson ? I’m waiting!!
Best driver in the world imo
@Brian Siler Winning the race doesn't necessarily make him the better driver. Brown got into the front early on and just stayed there. Larson went from 21st to second. Not saying it wasn't a great drive from Brown, who was lightning quick, but Larson travelled further through the field to get to his position, Brown just retained his.
@Brian Siler Larson is easily the greatest driver of this generation. Out of 90 something dirt track races last year he won over half of them. Those wins included midget, sprintcar, silver crown, and late model wins (in the same season). He's won the Chilli Bowl back to back, he's won races in all the major dirt series (USAC, ASCS, WoO, ASCoC), and has won nearly a dozen NASCAR cup races, including three in a row this year. Name another driver of this generation that has not only won, but dominated across as many different series, and types of car as Larson. He may not be on the same level as Kinser and Swindell in terms of all time greats, but he is certainly the greatest at the moment.
@@NathanM4A1 Nathan, I don't think you can say that Larson is not as good as Kinser or Sammy. Mainly because they raced in different venues. As you said, Larson has raced in so many different types of races and won in all of them. Kinser and Sammy raced almost exclusively in WoO. Comparing Larson to Mario Andretti would be more appropriate. You're right, he is not on the same level as Kinser and Swindell, he is much better.
In 2015 Kyle Larson also won the Rolex 24 SCCA Sports Car event at Daytona.
Larson started what? 17th? Insane.
Edit: 21st!?
Macedo's tank had nothing to do with Paul McMahan catching fire. When the tail of Dumsney's car hits McMahan's car you can see fuel splash out of Dumsney's car onto McMahan's and ignite.
Where was Donny Schatz. I never seen him in the race.
What happened for that first caution??
He clipped the back right tire and slid into the wall
Debris
Crashes like these are only going to get worse & worse as sprint car racing becomes more & more popular, more & more money in the sport. Big races are going to have to be invitationals only.
Theres only one driver that runs good at every track in just about any car.
Top 5 Sprint Car Races in the Country (My Opinion)
1. Knoxville Nationals
2. Kings Royal
3. Tuscarora 50
4. World Finals
5. Ironman 55
Feel Free to leave your top 5
A race where Larson doesn't win? Those are becoming rare
Ian madsen always wrong place wrong time. Might be time to hang up mate
First 🥇
crazy

I'm happy the drivers are alright but the cjb car on fire is a little funny
Jesus......a little bit of Tony Bockoven goes a long, long ways. Imagine the dignity the Knoxville Nationals would have gotten if they hired Bob Jenkins thirty years ago.
First like
Fair enough
35th comment, 1330th view! Suck it!
maybe it wasn't just the nascar truck guys lol seems like Knoxville is prone to being a wreckfest
Damn wreck fest
Looking like a bunch of dirt modified drivers crashing so much
