Wow, you really need to do your homework. Current tax code is Trumps creation, which gave you peanuts in the beginning, but hits you later. Inflation, as any intelligent person knows, was the result of the COVID pandemic and the generous government payouts during this time (which Trump was president at this time), and inflation would have occurred no matter who is president now. duhh

Taxpayer money spent towards bailing out student loan debt should be an act of Congress, not an executive order designed to buy votes.

If you read anywhere other than fox news, you'll learn that these administrative actions are intended to compel the loan servicers to comply with the contracts that students signed when applying for federal aid. In other words, the students enrolled in the repayment programs met the criteria for loan forgivingness and the loan servicers decided not to hold up their end of the bargain, instead keeping students paying on debt that already qualified for cancellation.
Supreme Court already voted this is not legal. So how is he allowed to do this? And where is the money coming fr?
@@GentlemanJack705 The interest on the unpaid debt, as per the contract, if not paid by the USG, is the responsibility of the borrower, not the taxpayer. Offering to forgive that against a Supreme Court ruling that it is unconstitutional is vote buying at its worst.

@@Virginia22793Before I got into the market since I wanted to move to Iceland and I was an attorney in the states and it didn't transfer so, the way the Constitution is written it is the House of Representative which is responsible for initiating financial matters; moreover, the United States Supreme Court has already said that the President couldn't do this. So beautiful lady I don't think that Bumbling Biden will be able to pull this off but everything in this administration so since I want you to sound brilliant around your friends here is some inside information. (1) President Biden has never been the President as the real President has always been Barack Obama. (2) Barack is planning on running his wife Michelle and there is a very good chance that when the convention meets in August they will appoint Michelle. (3) It can't be Gavin Newsome as he has destroyed California. (4) Inflation is going up not down so the Chairman of the Federal Reserve will have to be raising the interest rates again. (5) Thanks to having wide open borders we now have Muslim terrorist groups operating in the country. They haven't attacked because they know the border is wide open; but, if Trump wins we will have terrorist attacks. Even for beautiful women life is about to be getting much harder. But I absolutely can't imagine President Biden being able to forgive student loans. While I was admitted to five Ivy Colleges my father, who could have easily afforded the tuition refused to pay for a bunch of communists and since I was from the deep South it wasn't important as to where I went but rather what I learned - and most of these demonstrators are in nothing courses for a hundred thousand dollars - unbelievable. I never went to college because the cost was far too high. I did my research on student loans. I have family members that went through this "higher education scam" and I didn't fall for it. To forgive some people for their bad choices using tax dollars from all of us is wrong. What about all the people that went to college and paid off their debt? Do they just get a pat on the back? What about the blue collar that never went to college? Why should they pay for this?

Ya'll are not smart. The entire student loan system in general is what leads to high prices. The fact that the loans are subsidised by the DOE. The schools get their money no matter what due to loans.
Force a cap on what can be borrowed. Only so much a year. Only for college. Books must be included in price. Nothjng for housing or meal plans. Work study must be used on all loans. The colleges must eat the cost of repayment if defaulted. After all the college is using federal funds and then charging the students a fee. Double dipping.
