December 24, 2014 - Barbara tells me we left for India on this day , via Shanghai, what an adventure that was.

We went to Bundi with much anticipation as our next door neighbours, a young couple, kept telling us "don't miss Bundi, it is a cool place". While it was a rough start, in the end we were not disappointed. .... and by the way, word of mouth from fellow travellers is of course a great way to plan your itinerary. Come to think of it - that is why "Trip Advisor" is so popular. Our first highlight in Bundi was the unexpected opulence of the Hotel Bundi Haveli. Never before had we experienced such space and such a traditional surroundings. Haveli is a term used for older inns of historical or architectural value probably owned at some point by some rich families. Ok we tend to overreact to new sourroundings and new discoveries but this one was worth it. Quite early in our visit to Bundi we ran into an older Swiss gentleman who was quite the character. His statement of "I believe in Bundi" really impressed me.

+Allen McEwan Hello Allen - yes maybe the best quote of all my blogs - no, it is the best quote of all my blogs. As I said at the end of the clip - "does it get better than that"? I admired this guy, being Swiss, he was so sure of himself and he had seen a lot of the world and he definitely know what he liked and didn't like - not one to mince words is what I am trying to say. He seemed like the kind of guy who could have written an interesting book about his life. Thanks for viewing.
Amazing hotel room! What a surprise for Barbs & yourself, it looked like a room from a palace, that Swiss ex-pat guy lived there? I couldn't really hear or understand what he was saying?

The "Swiss Guy" - one of the many characters that one runs into while traveling - yes lives in Bundi. That must mean something because he has seen it all. He is difficult to understand but if you listen carefully his love of Bundi and women come through.

Sorry I have been extremely busy at the hospital this last few months working late shifts on the run up to the holidays that I really didn't get a lot of opportunity to spend on UA-cam but I've now got a few days off and fully intend to catch up on you& Barbara's continued adventures and travels, I've been hooked on your travel vlogs from the first time I discovered your channel and will always be an avid supporter!

What a hotel !!!!! How did you manage to come to Bundi? Was it planned, random or a transit point? At least you have been able to see the real India with your travels. Best wishes to you both Greg.
