1st one was the longest. Missed one step. Hahaha 🤣
Life saver. Why can’t Kitchenaid review the design and easy removal of left over pasta in the maker. Probably the Designer wasn’t into pasta making or R&D failed to realised that pasta might get stuck inside 😩

Thank you for showing this, In my spaghetti attachment the plastic combs were not assembled correctly, and they had fallen inside the assembly. Thanks to this video I was able to get them from inside and install them properly and now they should stay in place, thanks again.

Probably very late, but I also wanted to add my thanks to the list. Followed your instructions, now clean as a whistle! The only thing I would add is that I found it easier to re-install the grey "guards" with those pins with the nuts slightly tighened more after having put them in place, when I tried the first time the pins pushed the guard off the top retaining pins. By tightening the bolts after putting the guards back in it closed the gap and allowed the guards to sit properly on the top retaining pins while I inserted the clips, then just had to snug up the bolts and it was perfect. Either way, wouldn't have had the courage to try this without your instructions, so thanks!

Thanks for your video. However, I found it is even easier than you described. First take of the end that does not have the drive shaft by removing the two screws. Pull out the spring clip that you have shown in the video. NOTE: the spring has one short and one long leg. You can now push down the end of the grey plastic guard enough to shake out the loose bits from one side. Repeat on the other side. Now put the pin back in with the long leg first catching in the groove in the plastic guard, then push the shorter pin end into its respective hole and push home. Put the end cap back on. Done.

I've seen someone sprinkle flour on the attachment (where the dough is inserted) and coat the dough in flour just before rolling or cutting. I am not sure if that was a preventative measure, for less dough getting stuck or not. It may be a great step to add.

    • @DanjoysHomemadePasta

Flour does help but over time you will still get pasta inside the cutter.
