Speaking as a professional animator, I think your module walkthrough videos would be much more accessible if you used a voice over instead of text. In this configuration, it's hard to read the left side of the frame while keeping track of what's happening with the module on the right side. This is especially true for the Four Bricks Rook since many of its functions are dependent upon latched key presses. That said, please keep up the great work! I've had a Time Wizard for some time now and am looking forward to working with the Four Bricks Rook!
I have an issue with mine when it plays the finger strike AND the quantized strike when the quantizer is on. I can hear both triggers. So when I tap with my finger when quantize is turned on. There is a small double tap. I can make a video, but the desired functionality would be that only the quantized trigger comes out when quantize is turned on. Having both is embarrassing during a performance.
I am having an issue with LENGTH 32 patterns which seem to be going back to 1 after 24 or 26 steps. I am clocking from Pamelas New Workout and the RESET value on PNW does not make a difference making it longer or shorter, the parterns seem to jump back to the start prematurely regardless. Any ideas?
@@knobsstrings hey mate get in touch with Shakmat and they will help you out. There is no user solution available (to my knowledge) so you will need to talk to them directly.
@@steveturner1815 Thanks a lot for your answer. Thought maybe it was a user error. But I tried everything I could also. Already wrote Francois. Hope he can help with that.
Can play mode be quantized? I see that when you originally tap the pattern in it is off until it plays the recorded version back in quantized mode, but I can't get away with that in a live set. Although I guess I could get away with it in fill mode using a table of "all ons", yeah?
@@Lokua Yeah no. You really don't have to worry about not being in time when you first enter your steps. You'll be close enough, and the only person it's going to bother is yourself.
@@Lokua Thing is quite hard to do a proper quantize in real time because you cannot quantize a trigger played a bit late as the module cannot predict you gonna play. But you can use the fill mode with 16th notes rolls :)

How the heck do I switch to the different tables? And why is this hard to find?
Did you figure it out?
@@888cromartie yeah, eventually.
@@dragonstuff1983 How do you like it? On the surface it seems like a pain to use, but also has some interesting functionality.

You can get away with it in a live set. No one is going to notice or care if you're slightly off for a few steps.
So...no 😆?

Right on. And of course I can just practice and play in time like a "real" musician!

Great stuff, what is the sound source in this demo?
As far as we remember :
Kick : Hexinverter BD9
Snare : Hexinverter Mutant Snare
Synth Bass : ??
Synth Chords : MI Rings
Does Pitch CV get sent out of this as well?
Euro Cat no
