@@Rek_Rc Exactly, it’s very impressive. Some people like to say WL’s RC’s are junk. But I’d have to disagree. Yeah they are no Arrma or other well known brands of $300 to whatever +. But for the price you can’t beat it. Btw my mine and my brothers RC channel is crazyquadbrothersp3. Going to sub to you under our channel.
That’s a nice small 3s Lipo. Batteries are so important. 60 mph is impressive. I bet with the battery fully charged and the slightly taller tires you would get 65 mph. Problem is keeping the front end down. You sure dove her nice and straight. Bummer about your GPS but your Rek rc and at least it still works. Great job on the video. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I thought the exact same thing. I should have started with the taller tires and no wing because I agree 65 MPH is well within reach. That battery was really good for its price also. But 45c with 1000mah would never last long, but it was really strong starting out. BTW You reminded me, I forgot to link the battery in the description. I'll fix that.
yes sir. I really got this car just for the 3S capabilities as I have other 2S RC cars. I'll contact WlToys and find out what's going on here and if that's the case as of they've made the changes to prevent users from using 3S, I'm returning it.
Great video! Subscribed! Even a quality 1,000 mAh LIPO will start loosing voltage really quickly so yeah, you will only get a few seconds of good speed out of it before it tapers off. I am not sure how much bigger of a LIPO you can fit in the car but for example in one of my cars it went from 48 mph to 52 mph simply going from a 2,200 mAh LIPO to a 5,200 mAh LIPO (both 3s with the same C rating). And of course, the larger LIPO can do many speed runs before the speed tapers off. On the 2,200 mAh one, after 2 or 3 runs it drops off very noticeably! Sorry about your GPS!!!
Thank you so much. Yeah, I think you're right, there isn't much in the way of small 3s lipo options for such a small car. With only 1000 mAh if I don't get a really steady run on my first couple goes it will kinda kill a speed test for a small 3s rc. I really appreciate the comment, I learn so much from other hobbiests like yourself and it really helps. It does sometimes seem that just having more mAh can increase speed a bit though. I noticed that with other rc cars. I've always wondered why that is even with the same C rating.
@@Rek_Rc At first I was considering that it is because both were 50c (claimed) that the 2,200 could provide 110 amps (in theory) and the 5,200 like 260 amps or whatever that math comes out to (in theory). In reality I bet the C rating is half of the claimed and maybe part of the lower speed of the 2,200 mAh LIPO was due to voltage sag. I thought going into it they would be really close but they simply where not. I got similar results in my Kyosho Raider. It went 52 with the 2,200 mAh and 56 with the 5,200. The car is really light and the amp requirement lower.... I have videos of both. Can you cram a 2,200 mAh in that WL Toys car?
@@BriansRCStuff I can get a 2200 mAh 2s in there, but haven't found a 2200 mAh 3s that will fit. Hi, would you kindly let us know how you made your wltoys 144010 accept 3S battery. The reason I'm asking is because I just got mine and run flawlessly with 2S. However, the minute I put a 3S on it, just the ESC and Steering work and no wheel rotation at all. Please help. Thank you
I always start with the basics. Little stuff first. Is the battery properly charged?!is the battery damaged? Have you tried different 3s batteries on the car? If so, then I would wonder if the ESC has an issue.
Thank you so much for your response. Per your recommendation, all my 3S batteries have balanced and charged properly and no sign of damage or drop on them which they vary from the Bashing brand to Gens ace to CNHL. I guess I'll get with the WLToys about this and see what they say. Another thing I just noticed is that the ESC cable says to ONLY Use 2S battery only for some reason. Not sure if WlToys has made any changes to avoid 3S altogether. Thanks again.
@@samla2404 that's strange. Maybe they have made a change but if so, that would be a real bummer because the 144010 was such a fast car for the price. I actually can't think of any RC as fast for under 300 dollars without gear changes or other mods.

I don't think the stock charger has a 3s port. But being that it's a 3s battery it's better to use a more hobby grade charger for better balanced charging and less chance of a cell going bad or other problems happening. My question is did it ever fry the car like the receiver and the esc ? Bc the 3s batteries r 11.1V and the battery that came with the car is 2s 7.4v SS on can it run permanently on 3s or does it eventually fly?
I have before with no problems. I'm reluctant to just say out right yes because every rc is different, sometimes even the same model can behave differently from one to another, but generally speaking you should be ok, just keep an eye on heat. What kind of rc are you asking about?

I had no trouble running 3s at all. It seems safe
How long does the new battery last? Did you change the stock controller and receiver?
It doesn't last long but does deliver great power to a smaller rc. The radio and receiver are stock.
What tires did u use?
The 60 mph pass was on the stock wheels. The taller wheels we're just an off brand Amazon special. They blew out quickly after just a couple runs.
I try a 3s lipo 1400 60c and the esc flashing red and just the direction work. Someone have the same problem ??
Try a battery with a lower C rating, I wouldn't go higher than 35 C . But it should run just fine on 3s unless your ESC has some kind of issue.
