It's funny, this reminds me of a time when I went to the lake district with my dad, we hike togather alot and one time we came to the top of a hill and saw lake windamere, mist had setteled over it like a blanket and we watched the sun set into the horizon, that was my rarefied atmosphere, and that moment is something I will take to the grave.

Mathew Vaughan just nailed this film,the cinematography is second to none with a great cast and brilliant acting a superb intelligently thought out story with twists and great dialogue,this is how a British Ganster film should be! I hope there will be a worthy follow up some day. Guy ritchie should take note,this is how you make a proper film.

@SuperMaxoman I know,Vaughan produced Both Guy Ritchies films,no doubt he was influenced by Guys work,but Vaughan wanted a more realistic grittier approach and characters with a lot more depth and dimensions to them. Vaughans first attempt at directing a film really supercedes Ritchie in every department,i hope Vaughan continues to make films and i would like to see a follow up to Layer Cake,it is now long overdue.

Wene watched layer cake wene it came out. & thought it was boring, compared too lock stock & snatch, (black comedy style) but wene watched couple yrs ago, had a totally different view off it. Very Clever Film, & more grown up than lock stock & snatch, thay were good films, But i think this is much Better more "Layers" to it no pun intended...well now thinking about it. & a Top Soundtrack.
