Would be nice if Roland actually supported its customers with tutorial videos in English

Great demo! Does the BK9 have a chord sequencer function like the Korg PA series and an aftertouch sensitive keyboard? What is the GUI like especially considering that it does not have the touch screen interface of the much older VA7 and G70?

Is Roland going to have more backing songs come out that we will be able to download from the net in the future,

Roland G70 is an arranger workstation keyboard similar function with this.

Wish you could change from one sound to another with smooth transition like on the
    Kronos. Can it do that?

Could anyone tell me a simple way to use the 16 track recording method of recording? I know how to use a single instrument and record. But, to record something and then play it back and record something over top of that, I have NO idea how to do that. And, I looked it up in the manual. And, from what I can understand of that, you have to know the timing, etc., etc., etc,. of the song that you are playing and recording in order to record more than one track. And, I play strictly by ear. I don't know the time signatures or any of that stuff. I should know this. But, I don't. But, if someone could please tell me how to record one track and then add another and another track to it, that would be awesome. And, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks!!!

Hi Scott Berry or Kraft Music, I would like to buy a new or used Roland BK9, can you help?
    Thanks

I wish there was a site that I could go to where I could watch videos on HOW to operate the Roland BK9 (in ENGLISH, too). I just bought one and thinking about taking it back because there are a LOT of things I *cannot* figure out on my own (and need a little help). But, pretty much all the videos I see on UA-cam are videos of other people playing certain songs (doing demonstrations of the sounds, rhythms, etc., ) on the keyboard. I would like to know HOW to use the Audio Key and the other features on my keyboard.

These keyboards are not easy to figure out! I had Roland G-70 for years and that thing sounded amazing but it was more complicated than flying a small plane.

Just now seen your response. I'm sorry!!! Never even got notified of your post. But, yeah, anyways, I totally agree with you. And, I wish I would have got a different type of keyboard, now, because I've had this keyboard for years, now, and still don't know even a fraction of what there is to know about it. And, like I said, NO tutorials or anything (in English).

NeonMusic If you think the BK9 is difficult to work out , try figuring out a Korg PA 4X ( or any Korg! I also still have an old i30 & that was a nightmare as well) They are fantastic KBs but you need a degree in nuclear physics to programme in all the different registrations, split points style changes etc required to be accessed quickly & easily in just 1 song for a Grade 6-8 music exam!!

It's very sad to see that Roland is ignoring 70% of the tablet market.
I own 2 tablets, none of them is an iPad.

herman stokbrood you would’ve been more accurate to say that Android is ignoring them, not Roland.✌🏾

What a rip off what so called flagship! BK-9 is repackaged Roland E-50 / 60. Same sounds for the most part and exactly the same styles as the E-50 with no changes - cannot tell the differnce. It was supposed to replace the E-80 by bringing it a few notches down. In Canada close to $3000 + tax. E-50 / 60 have more dignity than this crud of slime in my opinion. At least they didn't cost an arm & a leg. Do yourself a favour by buying a pre-enjoyed E-50 /60 or E-80 at about 60% less currency. I'm content with my E-50.

My $800 Yamaha PSR-S670,puts the BK9 to shame. The Roland Jupiter 80 and FA8 are nice, but that's about it from Roland.

Everything about this video is embarrassing. This video was uploaded only 5 years ago and yet the piano sounds and the way the guy plays the piano seem as if this video was from 1981 and not 2014. What the fuck is Roland thinking putting out garbage like this ??

  • @MusicAnirban

Poor sounds compared to Yamaha arrangers like psr s970. More is expected from a brand like Roland.
