My go to rifle for nearly the last 30 years is my Vanguard Deluxe in .30-06. I ordered it from a Walmart catalog after getting my re-enlistment bonus in the Army. Love the Back country, might be my retirement rifle one day.
I was hoping to see more about the rifle and a bit less of the advertisements and selling the idea for 4 minutes. Maybe explain your caliber and why you picked it? What barrel length and profile did you go with? Is the muzzle threaded? What pound trigger did you have in it? What's the overall weight? What's the length of pull? Twist rate? Soft/hard recoil pad? Stock material? How is the receiver attached to the stock?
It's just a mark v hunter. With a fancy paint job. And his name painted or laser etched on the floor plate. That's it . They r Just drumming up more sales by putting on 💋 lipstick. The mark v hunter don't sell great
@REDNECKROOTS this isn't exactly true. The rifle is close to 0.5lb lighter than the hunter model which actually puts it closer to their lightweight rifles weight that are double the price point
My dads favorite rifles where Weatherby and I’ve been a true Weatherby believer since day one. So pumped for this team up. Congrats Remi on this sharp beautiful accurate rifle. Can’t wait to take it on a Hunt
Your names on a very good branded rifle, because your so genuine around good bloke and I do t even know you personally. Plus one of the best hunters of not the best on the planet. Take it Remi, I bet they sell out. Hope they’re coming to Australia.
Late to get to the Weatherby legacy. However that does not mean that I don't have the respect and admiration for these rifles. I bought a Vanguard for my son so he wouldn't use my high end AR-10 to hunt with. Even though it was an imported action, I was impressed. Because of that I bought a Mark V deluxe in .257. Beautiful and Crazy Geat Rifle! Then ordered a rifle from the Custom Shop. Still waiting on that one. Then a Backcountry Ti in 6.5 RPM. Another amazing rifle!! Can't say enough about Weatherby.
Congratulations, u paid top dollar for a bottom tier mark v hunter model. Except yours comes w a fancy stock paint job. And a name etched on the floorplate. 😱
Love the Mark V and this version of the rifle looks promising, but this video tells me nothing about it nor the features you care about when helping to design it!
Because they are probably going to do 75 other videos about this rifle and a podcast and release a hunt video featuring it and it will go on and on for the next year. Then they will get another celebrity hunter and release their version which is litterly the same exact file with a different color scheme and the vicious cycle will continue and I’ll probably keep watching but never buy one. lol
First rifle I ever bought with my own money was a Vanguard 30_06 (I named her Selina) The woman got her first rifle and it was a Vanguard Camilla. Now it's the only rifle she wants to shoot. It just fits her so much more naturally.
That’s what I was thinking too🤔😳 I am a 60+ year gun collector as well as hunter and reloader and have owned several hundred Weatherby rifles over the years. It was my fathers favorite rifle when I was a kid when Roy was running the company! That being said from all the Weatherbys I have bought in the last 10 years as been a little bit of a let down in the Mark 5’s. The quality is not what the older Mark 5’s were by far🤔😔 the Vanguards are still pretty good for the price range and quality. I would take a Sako any day over a Weatherby and I have quite a few of them too over the years and they get better even though they are a lot of money but so are the Weatherbys!
I remember the Weatherby's store in South Gate, CA. It was the first time I had ever seen a stuffed bear in the display window of a store. Beautiful store. Unfortunately, I remember it closing after the L.A. Riots of 1992. Images of police surrounding the store during the riots still flicker in my mind.
My grandpa truly loved his Mark V 7wby... Soo I got a 257 Roy soon as I was in life which has led me to the conclusion of only thing to compare a Weatherby is another Weatherby unless you have an old Sako
There is a guy in Texas named Brandon and he likes to do a little Plinking. Put your money where your mouth is and walk that new rifle out to a 1000 yards. I would LOVE to see that!!!!
Sure Tim is missing your content! You are and have always been the best. No surprise from me but congrats. If i recall your first 300wsm on solo was an earlier christensen arms. Almost like a Ridgeline before Ridgeline, you still a fan of 300wsm? You enjoy 6.5 or 7 PRC?
Should have read, “Weatherby let me design my own rifle, but I wanted something that’s accurate and in a caliber I could actually get ammunition for, so I got a Tikka.”
Watched your Vortex video where you said your favorite caliber is 300WSM with Federal 200 TA bullets. Is that caliber available in a Weatherby model? If not, kind of hypocritical isn't it?
No disrespect Remi, but a little bit of paint doesn’t qualify it as a custom stock. Looks like a nice gun. I’m skeptically looking forward to seeing some accuracy reviews…
From being a guide featured on meat eater to having your own line of weatherby rifles. Way to play the game Remi. I have literally zero interest in the rifle and the video was cringe, but I can’t blame a man for getting that paycheck.
If that is the case why didn’t Roy hunt with that cartridge then! He preferred the 257 and the 270 over it! I think you have your cartridges mixed up and are thinking of the 30-06! But what do I know after owning hundreds of rifles over my 60+ years and owning every cartridge but the 460 and many times over! The only reason the 300 Weatherby sold so many in that cartridge is because the American public at the time were big into the 30 caliber bores! It the Weatherbys came out today for the first time I believe the 7 and 270 Weatherby would far outsell the 300! I have been around rifles almost 70 years and have hand loaded for almost everyone and hunted with almost everyone but what do I know🤔😳
@@edwardabrams4972you must of had a fair few guns over the years mate, in your opinion what is the best hunting gun you have used, thanks mate, cheers Yogi ✌️🤙🇦🇺
Weatherby sucks it from the back. Shotguns labeled sheridan, made in turkey. 4 month wait for a gun released last year, had my money, no one able to tell me anything other than its not ready. You keep releasing stupid celebrity products and new guns but can't produce rifles that are already bought and paid for. Terrible customer service. Way more into Marketing than manufacturing. No business from me, my customers, and ill make sure none of my clients carry one to camp. Good luck to ya
I have my Grandfather's Weatherby. It's a gorgeous rifle. When I was a kid I was in awe of it. The day he gave it to me was very special for me.

Good for you Remi! Awesome
This is unreal, what a thing to be a part of , you must be very proud.
Absolutely amazing. Cant wait to see one if these!

I’d would be rad to have this in a chasis version as well. Something offering that vertical grip or any grip. Cool stuff

Congratulations great rifle great name
from the very brief description, it sounds like a typical Mark V

Never had a weatherby . This kinda makes me want one . I like Remi he’s the real deal, seems he’s never sold out to anyone
Pretty awesome !
Mark v is definitely out of my price range but super happy for you Remi.

American made vs European made? American all the way(except tikka)

I am very happy for him. I’m glad he’s happy and getting the opportunity to do something he is proud of.
That said, I’d rather have a sako every day
What caliber did you get?
This gun, at the price I saw, is a very attractive package. I sell guns at Scheels and can't wait to get some in!!
Thanks for the video

Nice video!
Is the barrel floated and action bedded? Any pillar bedding?
Never really considered Weatherby. Was looking at a bergara or Christensen but this has me thinking about trying a mark v
Weatherby is top of the line. I wish they made a 9mm pistol or 357/38 revolver.
The market is flooded with those. I say, stick with something you know and do it right.
Left hand available?

So what's the price point? And how do either (Sako & Weatherby) stack up overall against the latest Browning xbolt 2?
Weatherby make great rifles cant go wrong
Well wish you mentioned more about the rifle. What caliber is it at least?
It's just a mark v hunter model. With fancy sponge paint and flute job on the barrel. Just buy the hunter model n save alot $$
If it comes in 300 WSM, I’m all game for it
So what’s the difference and price difference between this and a regular weather mark v?
At least its a MK 5 not Meateaters Vanguard edition. What calibre di you get?
What caliber did you take home?
Looks like my backcountry edition.
What did you have yours chambered in?
What’s the scope your shooting on it?
MeatEater had a VanGuard model of rifle...Why not you........ MarkV action? APPROVED!!!
Quality firearms, but their ammo prices are INSANE. Last box I looked at was well over $100 for 20 rounds.
What calibre is it?
I have a remington chambered in 300 Wby. I shal now dream of the day I can have a Remi Wby.
Remi isn’t lucky to be sponsored by weatherby, weatherby is lucky to be sponsored by Remi 😘😎

What I was thinking too😳 money cause people to say and do strange things how sad😔
There are a few different rifles that Weatherby chambers for .300WSM, however they get snatched up and back ordered before you can blink.
My two nickels worth opinion but if you slapped "Remi Warren Edition" on it sales wohld ski rocket.!
4 months prior the Sako was the bomb. If money you were being paid was not a factor, which do you like better. You could be a politician

Guess I have to sell my sako now
Sako is still best but price is better with weatherby
Not available in left handed. That’s unfortunate
Weather y couldn’t have picked a better spokesman
No 300wsm is a killer
Just give me a left handed rifle, not special order, in a wider range of calibers that are available now.
Cool another influencer gun from weatherby….
No magazine in 2024? Ok....
