It's gameplay is just good, but the way they interpret a horror level as more "mourning" instead of "scary" is unique and amazing Basically what I mean is that they could've done a generic ghost level but instead they make it this city in shambles with sad music playing...
@@Loviedove__ Just the story behind it all, that you can kind of work out or imagine it yourself in all the maps. In dark, for me, it's the civilization that fell a long time ago and the scientist that was trying to create Frankenstein but it went terribly wrong
This has to be the best soundtrack in the game. Hands down. Dark is meant to be a spooky level, and instead of just making a spooky soundtrack they created something more mournful which I think best fits this level at it is just overall pretty sad. There is a slight retro effect to it which I find interesting because it makes the music sound somewhat older than normal and that is a really nice touch.
This game is wonderful, so simple yet efficient. One of the most important games of the recent years, no doubt. It really comforted me in my resolve to develop my own games.

The Song being a remix of Labour gives you a remembrance of the past, but the eerie theme gives the realization that this is somewhere new and different. Unexplored, uncharted. To be discovered by you. As the song goes on it gets more triumphant, insinuating that this is really the end. Embrace your time here, alone or with friends. It’s time to take on The Final challenge, The Final Level *Dark*
I actually really like the lofi quality of this recording. It really suits this track, especially the piano at the beginning. Makes me feel like sitting inside with hot chocolate watching the rainy and cold weather in winter.
I don't know why but, for me, I feel this game has some kind of philosophy in loneliness and dreams over all. Like how in a dream the only thing that is really there is you, everything else doesn't even exist, in the game you are all alone, discovering every puzzle and solution by yourself, maybe letting you know that, the only responsible for everything that happens in your life, is you. Or maybe is just dumbass ragdoll physics game
