I feel like a lot of channels just trail off this "but maaaayyybeee it is real"-route to trigger a cheap shiver down the spine in the viewer, mostly because a lot of kids are coming across arg stuff due to Top 10 spoopy internetz type videos

@@sickel101 Nexpo and ReignBot have their own problems with how they fetishize real life horrible events and mixing that content with the fiction horror
I feel like this is a genuinely unsettling story told in an interesting way, and I agree with your assessment of the plot it's trying to tell us. I also very much fucking agree that the Hezbollah subplot undercuts it in so many ways, it's just so utterly bizzare. I'm hoping it's a joke, or the creator sees this vid, educates themselves a bit and comes up with something a bit more believable.
Sego Canyon (Utah) is located at 109 degrees west longitude, Gujarat (India) is located at 73 degrees east longitude, so these two locations are almost separated by 180 degrees of longitude. Both locations are in the northern hemisphere (39 degrees and 24 degrees latitude, respectively), so they are not literally on “opposite sides of the globe” but it is close. I have no idea if this means anything!
Finally, some publicity for this ARG! A group of people and I have created a discord for solving the ARG, you can find it in the comments of a video pretty sure.
i think the idea of the netborn could serve as a decent metaphor for generations who grew up with the internet. The netborn are held captive and are being exploited for profit, only valued for their ability to interact with technology. This could be viewed as a metaphor for the relationship often posited between generation z and older generations. Also I think this channel might not be a call for help at all, if the captive has just gained self awareness this channel could be an attempt for the captive to understand their situation, or just a way to express their pain at what is a pretty awful place for them to be in. I think the idea that netborn are splinters or fusions of other identities is important too, it could be seen as a way of commenting on how our identities are shaped by economic forces, since the captor has been intentionally making these splinter personalities out of real people.
If all the noise sounds added, it's not a stretch to think there are some clues via spect right? Has anyone tried this? I'm halfway through the video, but skimmed and did not see any izotope images or anything. If this is as in depth as it seems, there has to be some reason to the noise right? EDIT: just saw some. this is really really cool and the creator gets it.
I actually support the idea that things are moving more parallel across all systems. Electricity is in the middle of decentralizing a lot of it's work with Renewables, Storage, and modifying usage patterns. The thing to do in tech is build decentralized code that can interact and scale. Non-heirarchical systems are everywhere in the newer fields of tech and engineering because they are much more powerful than the old hierarchical approach. The only thing that really hasn't decentralized yet is finances, and that is the change least impacted by increasing efficiencies and most impacted by politics.
The text on the road signs is Korean, but I can't read it beyond recognizing the language, so I can't tell you what it says. I'm guessing the location is the only thing that's relevant.
also would love to see a continuation of this series but obvious as long as it gets meatier. I've seen a few args like this pop up but the language they try to teach us can just cause too much confusion
This is obviously tied into the CD-i Zelda games somehow, or perhaps Hotel Mario. I think analyzing each frame of the animated cutscenes would be fruitful.
Minor question, but is it possible the transcription around the half-hour mark might say “malleable” instead of “invaluable?” It wouldn’t change much, but it would fit nicely with the population becoming inextricable from technology.
