To quote the nostalgia critic: And lo and behold an obnoxious douchebag with unconvincing dreads will put grapes in his nose and constantly shout bloopity bloopity bloopity bloopity. It will be called the 11th circle of hell. Dante then wet himself and cried in fear.
That's not the only "Sopranos" connection. We know of Uncle Junior as Angelo, but Livia Soprano's actress was played by Nancy Marchand... and she in real life was married to Paul Sparer, who was the guy who voiced the main and end titles for "Tales from the Darkside'".
Come to think of it, there was also an 80s Twilight Zone like that where a business owner lives in after death in a computer. I believe that was also on the original Amazing Stories. Look forward to seeing that Black Mirror. Already saw the one where people could see all their memories in a hard drive on screen.
I think the story you mentioned was called "The Whisperer In The Darkness ." The story was so vague, that I still can't help wondering if the aliens didn't have a positive intent in mind. Who knows? After all, a fellow human whom went through that treatment, states that it's wonderful to travel throughout the universe as a disembodied brain. Maybe it is.
This episode scared the shit out of me first time watching on sci Fi in my teens in the 2000s Abe Vogoda goes out a little bit easier in Batman Mask of the phantasm as Sal Valestra . But here in this episode he gets his brain 🧠 stuck in a jar for all eternity
Even though I’m only a GenXer, when I see a head with a metal colander on it, I think “Bride of the Monster” and when I see a brain being kept alive separately, I jump to “The Brain that Wouldn’t Die” (though admittedly Re-Animator too).
Whoa ive been listening for the past few weeks on Spotify. Does my eyes decive me or is that a fancy new nose ring. Looking good brother been thinking about getting one myself
Yes! I was craving a new Talks ep. Loved the physical copy for the synopsis. Isn't this ep kind of in the same vein as Dreams for Sale from the Zone 1980s revival? 🤔 📼💚💚💚

They put Abe Vigoda's brain in the Robocop 2 body, and they kept him alive with Good Burgers while memories of Kel Mitchel tortured him.
🤣

Now every time i rewatch "Tales from the Darkside", when the intro starts, i instantly think it's gonna be Joe's version of the voice 😂.

Believe it or not, there’s a Darkwing Duck episode where his brain is cut out.
Frank Castle, PHD would be an absolute banger of a comic!
Loved the ep!
Solid episode. I'd rewatch this one for sure.

Actually, Leslie Nielsen was the fiance of the killer in the other Columbo. Would've made a good killer too though.

It’s similar but more in a Matrix kind of way.
Has Joe always had the nose piercing? Or am I an idiot and just noticing it?
It’s new.
Not a Sopranos person?! Chris....dafuq man?
