I went without paying for two years then they stepped it up a few gears. They started sending newbie bailiffs then after no luck with them they sent a registered one who clamped my car on the drive and stuck a very sticky notice on my drivers window.
Needless to say I am paying again as Bristow & Sutor don’t quit. Also depends on what county you live in as to how they go about threatening you. Keep in mind it took A LOT of paperwork and two years until they really stepped it up.
Sadly they now know where I work so they will apply for an AOE Attachment Of Earnings directly from my wages if I do it again. They are so bloody corrupt. So be warned you’re not out of their sight just yet. Best of luck to you.
A guy got in touch with me who went further than I did and he had several visits from Bristow & Sutor and after many visits he caved in as it becomes too much because you are permanently watching your back and outside as you never know when they are coming.

Yes, funny how councils are going bankrupt around the country, in my opinion mostly down to mismanagement and spending taxpayers money on needless schemes and projects we don't need and cannot afford, but I doubt any of them bastards will have bailiffs harassing them or threatening to take their stuff.
Sad thing in the UK today is we're being punished more and more by punitive fines for petty issues and paying far too much to greedy energy companies LED by the government (and don't think the other lot will be any better, quite the opposite in fact while spending the next 5 years blaming the Tories for it all), but we're sleepwalking into it and putting up with it. Good for you! Stand up to them! They have no authority to seize our homes, cars, income, anything. Do not open letters from them, write 'Return To Sender' on the envelope and put them into a letter box. We can also write and send a Cease And Desist letter to the council; get templates from the net. Create a prominent 'No Trespassing' notice and paste it on the front door and/or gate; also get templates from the net. These are perfectly legal notices; we can take legal action against anyone who breaches these notices. If bailiffs are persistent, ask them for their personal particulars, then file a charge against him/her at Magistrate's (Citizens') Court (no need for a lawyer; only a fee to pay) for trespassing, harrassment, intimidation, damage or theft of private property, battery and assault (if they touch you even with just a fingertip), etc.; throw the book at them.

This is all good stuff but if the council then try bailiffs, then court orders backed by the police, and finally bankrupt you and seize your home, you can protest all you like but still be on the street. It has become clear, to us and of course to them, that legality can just be over-ridden without consequences, and as for morality, well that has long since been left in the ditch. The final arbiter is who is prepared to use the most force, and the state usually wins that battle. The council’s are printing their own summons and liability orders, impersonating the judicial system, which is fraud.
Only the court can send a bailiff, and as no court has taken place, that won’t happen. They may send a enforcement officer (private co.) but they have no authority, liability orders stopped in 2003.

In light of this evidence, it is obvious that a serious crime has been committed. During the many bouts of unemployment in my time living in Devon, many of us were bullied into finding work by the jobcentre staff. In 2016, I was given an assignment to drive a bus filled with staff from Paignton to the millennium dome in London. I did not return until the following day, and I was rewarded with the handsome sum of £70. The council found out that I had done a day's work and decided to take it all away in council tax. All of it. It would seem to me that I now have a claim to recover all of the council tax that I have ever paid, together with compound interest. This is clearly fraud committed against the people with the knowledge of the government. Therefore, there are even greater implications here. This matter has to be pursued with vigour and the collective involvement of the wider public. Individuals must be held liable and accountable.

@@user-pn7wt4db8c Its actually very simple as you simply DO NOTHING AT ALL. ie, if they send letters, repost unopened with no stamp marked no contract return to sender and if they call, there is no law to say you must answer your door . A shut trap catches no flies and if you dont engage with them, they cant claim that you have refused to pay as they have never spoken to you.
Also, if you dont provide your details , how can a summons be produced as a name is needed and they can hardly summons THE OCCUPIER , so sit tight.
And these days we now know that there is no obligation to pay anyway as there has been no liability for some years, so many have now joined me by not paying, as i understand that a charter signed in 1888 by all local councils obligates every council to provide services and what they have done over the years is to force the cost onto You and I , which is Fraud , a serious criminal offence

@@petercrane2560 I had them take penalties for dog-leash infringements and other such nonsense... but not the rates yet.
I have informed them that I require a hearing of my defense. I was told they can't take my superannuation without giving me a hearing once I've requested it.
I'm also not paying my dog licenses without one: We are living beings, native to this planet and we don't need a license to live here. That's my opinion.

THis is a massive scandal on a par with water utilies companies charging for the "collection and treatment" of property drainage water while discharging it at minimal cost to them into nearby water courses. The whoel system is crooked and the legal advisors should be called to account and all those people who have lost their livelihood etc. compensated.

There's no VAT on council tax. Not all financial transactions are subject to VAT.

Council Tax - My wife and I have lived in France since 2020, my UK council Tax on my old UK property is now £1780.00 Per year, Which is around 2080.00 Euros. That 2080.00 euro equivalent here pays our French council tax ( 385 Euros ), my electric bill ( 900 Euros ), my water bills ( 300 Euros ), and all our logs to keep us warm for the winter period ( 500 Euros ) We cannot ever image moving back to the UK, which is tragic. SO the monies just for our old UK Council Tax Council Tax pays all our domestic bills here, its a no brainer. Council Tax is Criminal.

I had this out with my local council tax manager from the council years ago, informing him that social care needs are assessed at the point of delivery under the Care Act 2014 so are we paying for adult social care twice..no response from him!! Education is now private via academies doing that job now...still no response from him. The police and fire service are paid for from our council tax however, councils have no oversight and scrutiny into how much they charge the public..really!!!. Still no response from him as yet...nice eh!! Informed him years ago that there needs to be a subscription service, as we do have to pay for our rubbish removed, streets, parks and public places kept clean and safe...well...not lately folks! This council manager now refuses to talk to me leading me to believe that they are nothing but brownshirts!!! If we all requested this collectively, it could happen..it would happen..we need to make a stand before we can't mate!!!@@peterholmes5217

Thank you Richard, I've paid bailiffs so much money, money I had to borrow and which caused me to both go without food and paying other bills, all when I was a lone parent. I am STILL getting letters from Worthing council as apparently I still owe 4 years of council tax. I'm now in Chichester and had a bill for £2000 for the next financial years council tax, how they can justify this amount I really don't know. Fear and intimidation are how they get people to pay. I attempted suicide due to WBC and Rundles letters and then visits. I'd like to attempt to not pay Chichester council's latest extortionate bill but my partner is too afraid. We are living with constant fear as we have big rent and mortgage bills, along with other essential bills, nothing fancy, I'm an unjabbed care worker who can't seem to get work, I wonder why...

The prescribed forms A & B for liability orders were withdrawn in 2003 and never replaced.
See AER 1992 section - 37 (3) The authority may serve a copy of the order on a person who appears to the authority to have the debtor in his employment ..

Birmingham City Council's total utter incompetence that lead to their order to pay £760 million in equal pay claims effectively made them bankrupt, but who is truly being punished for their mistakes? The innocent residents of Birmingham with a huge 21% Council Tax hike over a 2 year period and in return a string of service cuts, the biggest in local authority history totalling £300 million on top of an already abysmal service that isn't fit for the purpose and you can be sure vulnerable people will be punished the most. It's like being forced to pay someone else's fines for their mistakes, how is this fair? No wonder people have had just about enough.

Northampton County Court regularly let out a suite to Councils in England and Wales for basically issuing Bulk Liability Orders as described in your above video for at least 12yrs using the Court's address as an excuse for enforcing these orders which are legally Deceptive.

@@petercrane2560Dorset Council use Northampton to issue Council Tax Non Payment Liability Orders which they then pass on to their Contract Bailiff's which was DCBL for enforcement till 2022 when DCBL was caught using unlawful methods to collect the "debt" even sometimes escorted by the bent Dorset Plod who legally were only present to keep the peace but sometimes would intervene until they were ordered to cease aiding and abetting.Same with the TVL Capita PLC would get the plod to turn up for a house invasion to check or charge a householder for watching live TV without a licence.
