I was born and raised within eyeshot of the Delray Train Tower on Dearborn Ave. From time to time, I would see the old steam locomotives ride past the diamond track's past the Delray Tower. That area of SW Detroit was the best place to watch trains, both passenger and freight go by. Sometimes I would stand near the track's and bend over - yanking down my pants to moon the passenger trains going southbound. The look on their faces of the kid's and adult's looking at my naked butt was priceless.
+Brian Bonora I have been down that way, it is a good spot, however you will get more trains at Jackson as compared to Wyandotte. Almost everything that runs through Detroit passes through Delray junction on a daily basis.
Michigan Central Lines if you ever get the chance just go a bit further to Toledo and pick any spot along the double track main, it like a train freeway between Cleveland Ohio and Elkhart Indiana I know because I was a conductor on conrail and ran on trains from Toledo CUT to Conway PA and back.
Dude I'm like an hour away from detroit and I never knew we at one point at GT and have CP Rail and CSX?!?!? I live in Trenton and all we got is Canadian National lol
+Michigan Central Lines - I don't know good Detroit Railfanning spots such as what you have in this video. Where did u go around detroit for all these trains? BTW the HD and REZ is amazing!
NorthEastRail 01 First shot is from Romulus Michigan, next was Shafer Junction in Dearborn, then Delray, and finally Belleville Michigan for the last shot.
I grew up going to Delray almost every saturday with my dad. Great memories.

Nice catches! Just yesterday, saw 4 BNSF engines with no cars in downtown royal oak, on the CN mainline, heading towards Pontiac.
I make my 1 year return.
I enjoy your video! I am always amazed to see our Canadian locomotives rolling all over your country! Keep on your great work.

NorthEastRail 01 I know 2:09 until 9:50 is Delray, Michigan. It's in West Detroit. Kind of a dangerous area though.

Thanks to you, after research I realized that CP 241 is not a locomotive number! It is the number of a scheduled convoy. Please confirm.
Amazing catches
Nice dude!
+Duncan Campbell Thank you!
I've been to Delray a few times and it's very cool! The direction that the CN went, I've Never seen a train go that way, is it not very common?
It just depends on the time of day, CN freights go both ways on the Detroit line in this area.
+Michigan Central Lines Cool!
RB Railfan can you head over to Troy mi
Michigan Central Lines *downtown Royal Oak
