To anyone who is afraid-
It’s perfectly normal to be scared, even if you really want to do it. Getting my second earlobe piercing just above my first holes, and let me tell you, the first time I got my ears pierced at the doctors I didn’t feel a thing. They numb your ears. Just remember, it’s gonna be over in two seconds and then you will look badass! Good luck!
I got my pierced at claire"s and it stung for a second then it stopped when they put on the healing solution
For my piercing, it hurt for a second and the pain went away quickly in like 2 minutes

I remember my ear piercing well because all the doctors and nurses were laughing at my reaction. I was around 9 and they told me it didn’t hurt. 2 of them did my ears at the same time so after that, I got up, cupped my ears and started dancing to a beat and saying “ow” in the quietest way, because it huuuurt. 😂😂 no tears, just did that for a good 10 mins to distract myself from the pain.😂 my mom still laughs every time anyone mentions ear piercing.

@@MyHealthyPlate_recipes anxiety actually helps numb the pain. after the first piercing is done, you become more relaxed which means you will be able to feel the pain more once you get it done the second time.

I got my ears pierced with an actual needle but first the sterilized it, then dipped it in a numbing goo so it won't leave a reaction or hurt, and just have it go through the ear smoothly. To be fair, I got my ears pierced at a tattoo shop.

As a professional freehand body piercer, this is insane. Shoving that blunt end through the ANY tissue extremely traumatic. It will cause a lot more bleeding & swelling, as well as unnecessarily extending the healing time. A clean incision with hypodermic needle at the same diameter as the jewelry post, is most ideal.

Agree! We took my 15 year old to a tattoo/piercing shop for her second holes and cartilage. She said it just pinched but didnt hurt. When my 7 year old is ready, I will only trust a professional piercer. So much cleaner too.

She’s so cute 🥰. The procedure was so clean and fast. The first time I got my ears pierced (way back in the day) it was done by my friend’s mom with an ice cube, a needle, a potato and a pair of hoops. I was about 13 and I couldn’t believe my mom actually agreed to it 😀. It actually hurt less then when I got my second set done with a gun. I can’t imagine letting someone do that to me now but at the time I was just as happy as this little girl. Good times LOL.
I was so scared of getting my ears pierced! For me my sister got hers done first, I really wanted them but I was so scared so I started crying, we were at a mall so we were walking around with me screaming. (I was 3/4 yrs old) we went home and I was so jelous of my sister. But too scared to get my ears pierced. My dad said we could go back and see what the earrings look like on my ears. So he took my back to the mall. He asked to ladies to put the earring guns up to my ears to see how they look. Then he whispered something to both of them. Two seconds later I had earring in my ears. And wow did it surprise me! But I don’t regret it. Now today I’m getting my double

it's not blunt force trauma as it is the same as piercing it with a needle. If it was an actual piercing gun that would be a different story. Especially since it's not cartilage there is very little risk of any huge trauma around the ear. If you pierce your ear with a gun on cartilage there is a chance you could shatter the cartilage and the cartilage may collapse resulting in a funny looking ear.
"Ow, that hurt!" Then she sees her earring in the mirror and instantly is all smiles.

Personally I would prefer the needle, as it is much more smoother to the ear and takes less time for the ear to heal. The gun punctures your ears and can make in very painful, it’s also a sound thing for me.. I’ve always hated it! If your thinking of getting a simple earlobe peircing or your 2 Nd’s done, I would definitely recommend a needle! 😙
The gun is also more painful than the needle, since the needle is incredibly sharp and goes through the skin quickly and pretty painlessly. My daughter who is deathly afraid of needles had no problem at all when she decided she wanted her ears pierced at the age of 9. I took her to a professional piercer and they did an amazing job...she didn't even flinch.

@@zoefoley6818 It's more sterile, less painful, and the people are trained. You cannot sterilize a gun. Getting it done by a professional will cost more, but you will have better advice and a better chance of healing properly.

when i was younger, probably 9 or 10, i got my first Earrings too. They didnt used numbing gel, and just stucked the needle through it with a Pistol-thingy or smth. It didnt hurt that much i expected.

I can remember when I pierced my own ears,. I was 10 yrs old, someone told me to take half a potato, put the potato behind my earlobe, then with a sewing needle and thread, with one jab through the ear, pull the needle and thread all the way through the earlobe.
Well......that didn't work for me.
It did hurt.
So my mother took me to k-mart and had my ears pierced the right way.

Got my first ear piercing with a gun and the second with a needle. Felt exactly the same. It's advised to take kids to a tattoo parlor. They can pierce them gentler than with a gun. That gun is jarring and can cause a keloid.
I heard using a needle is safer because the gun could contain fluids from other people?

Actually alot of professional places use the gun e.g. pharmacy, beauty salons and doctors. It's quicker, less scary for the patient (than seeing a hot needle about to prick them) and less messy.

They put me or they pierced my ears at 3 or 2 months or maybe before when I was born, it has become a tradition to pierce my ears before the year or month after birth The girl, and we always use round earrings not another model, it is a rare custom xd

They just rubbed a lotion of sorts and then pushed that needle (silver) in and then curved it to form a loop of sorts and those were my earrings for a month
