It's deja vu all over again!! I was here at Johnson Center back in 2006, but I was a senior in high school. I was at a meeting downstairs in Dewberry Hall when the game was going on. They let us out early, and because of the large crowds, I stood on top of the fountains under the stairwell, hanging on to the balcony so I didn't fall into the water. I left before they started OT to beat traffic, so I heard the rest on radio. Now here I am, a senior at GMU, and its happening again!!
i know this is realllllly late, but expensive yes, scarce no. i worked friday night and watched mason win the sweet 16. i asked a friend if she wanted to go watch the elite 8 game since it was at the verizon( or mci) center. found tickets on stubhub that night for 2x the face value. it was amazing. it seemed the other two teams who were in the region sold their tickets to mason fans. :) it was home court ad.
i think they would have stood a better chance against florida with a shorter break, but at the same time, they had a break of the same length before their sweet 16 match-up.
I wish you would have shown the other side of the event, not just the good parts, like when UCONN scored the game tying basket to send the game into OT. I would have loved to seen how silent the center got at that point.
@tuzy2k I'm guessing that library changed its "no talking" rule for the day :-P
