Ive seen so many exhaust videos for the stinger and the g70 and none of them sounded like mine, until i saw this video. I knew my exhaust sounded better than the aftermarket catbacks. Somewhat of a similar setup too but my catback is custom built 3in straight pipe with quad tips. Thanks for the good quality sound
I don't need the performance , I just love the way the quad tips look compared to the stock oval tips! Is it expensive to just change to quad tips! Thanks for the video!
Sounded incredible! Ibwould love to have this exact exhaust build. How much would you say cost you from the purchase of the downpipe to the custom midpipe to the quad tip and labor included?
Probably $1400 all in, max because I had to do a few adjustments along the way to get it exactly how I wanted. Still cheaper than the $2k+ systems vendors sell
@@gabevillarreal96 the warranty is always attractive to me. Personal experience, my mom had a genesis 3.8 v6. No issues what so ever. No mechanical just normal maintenance. Also, a lot of power can be made. Seen vids of guys pushing under 500hp reliably. Seen another guy turn this thing into a low 10 second car.
Got them from an exhaust shop, didn’t check brand. Any double walled, 3 inch quad tip will do - up to you on style! They had them in matte black, chrome, burnt tips, etc
Yeah you could. Instead of an ark downpipe you could go with IMRs for the G80. The midpipe was a custom design so could be done for the G80, the resonators come in any size you need them in. Should be pretty easy to do this on a G80.
@The Aftermarket I think I'll start off with borla xs mufflers replacement, but if I don't like it I'll do a catback. Do you think it's important to have dual outlets on each aftermarket muffler to make it a true quad tip?
As of rn it’s generally better. Not night and day, but thanks to the 100k mile warranty it definitely elevates it. Also free maintenance for 3 years basically guarantees people will have maintained their car if you’re buying used
Hey there again man, Thank you again for looking into the engine noise I had sent over. I got a well rated car shop here I'm thinking of going into for them to diagnose for the incompetent dealership ha. The more research I do, the more it sounds like a stuck/incorrectly working valve lifter. I did want to ask though, for the quad tips to fit, did the plastic piece around the muffler tip outlet easily pop out or did it require cutting? Pretty mean exhaust sound as well. I have had my eyes on the RES Titanium exhaust personally.
Good to hear man, sorry you’re still dealing with that issue. Hopefully you can get it correctly diagnosed and fixed soon! No cutting needed to remove the chrome surround. I still have them sitting in a closet in case I ever put the car back to stock 😂
@@TheAftermarket1 My hope too man. Awesome, that is great. I always like the look of the quad tips sticking out so I'm glad it's easy. Thanks for the info.

Couldn’t tell you that. I pretty much fully built my car within the span of 2 months. Did not measure the affect of each individual part but rather the sum of them. Ark has some data on how much power their secondary provides though.

I bought them from the shop that installed the exhaust. You just need 3 inch double walled tips and remove the chrome surround(3 bolts) on each side of the exhaust exit. Make sure they’re double walled bc that’s what prevents heat from roasting the diffuser. Otherwise 3 inch quad tips will fit 👌
Thanks for replying. What quad tips did you use. I know you use 2.5” piping so do you have a 2.5” inlet to a 3” outlet ? Please provide link if you still have
@@amitchclips yeah the tips were 3 inch exits. It’s only for the end of the exhaust so doesn’t matter if they’re a larger size. I used tips gexhaust had in stock at the time, brand doesn’t really matter.
Almost none unless you deliberately lug the transmission in eco or something. The midpipe and resonators did the most to kill drone the setup had before.

You have a sound clip of yours?
I like the tips coming out of the oval. I think the best sound would be a giant xpipe. So the downpipes merge to a single mid pipe and then duals out

Any concerns with the tips melting and or touching your rear bumper/diffuser?
Not if you a) remove the chrome surround and b) get double walled tips
Did u go 2.5inch or 3 in mid pipe all the way to the catback ?
2.5. I haven’t seen anything that suggests the 3.3 will benefit from a 3 inch.

The 3.3 is offered in both rwd and awd.
G70 is real wheel biased. In AWD if you do sport or sport + on newer models it will put 90% of your power to the rear wheels.
