Just tried this yesterday on my AT Pro and loved it. One thing I noticed on your review is that you used both elastic bands on yours. I just used one. It goes in the grove and wraps around the shaft and and attaches to the other grove on the face of the sending unit.
For a new company I'm impressed with the price and quality these guys are offering. I'm seriously considering buying a Deteknix metal detector....thx to these reviews. Keep em comin Dan. Well done mate.
not sure if someone has already said but I believe the elastic bands go down either side of the on and off switch rather then across as you done. That's why there is groves down either side of the box. Then it goes at the top on the rest of the metal detector
I bought a set of these a month back and I agree, Dan, they're a good set. And, yes, more than enough volume! With good volume control, though, and I have mine set at a comfortable level. It's great not to get tangled in cords!
Right On! I was looking at making a set for my AT Pro but getting all of the devices, it would have been more than $400. Thanks for the review and info Dan. You are the Man!
I have the std set and love them. There is no delay like the Bluetooth headphones. I haven't ran the batteries down completely yet but I keep them topped off. I like the case because it is a great place to store everything in and nothing gets lost. I paid 89.00 here in the states at Amazon. Keep me coming DD. The volume is plenty loud for filming while using your detector and hearing the sounds on the video.
hi Dan, I have a pair these headphones, and I fully reconmend them, the only thing is the elastic bands fit in the slots , put band in one slot around the tube and then into the other slot ,u shaped. well done Dan ,your videos are brilliant , hh lol.👍 😃
I have a deteknix pin pointer it looks like the garret but its yellow. It works great comes with the little caps that protect the tip, and it was cheaper than the garret. Im glad to see that there other products are worth the money! thanks for the honesty Dan great video!!
thanks Dan. first off I would like to say I very much enjoy your vids I ordered these for my at pro and just test them nice, lite, and loud! keep up the good work and keep swinging my friend!
Just got a pair a week ago for my AT Pro and I totally agree - fantastic product worth the money. Not sure they will take much abuse but with careful use should last.
Not tried the headphones yet.... Might do on the next outing. When you use the Quest Pro you can choose the preset programs by holding down the ground balance button and then use the cursor buttons to scroll the programs... Don't hold down the M button as stated !! If you've not been out already with the Quest pro yet then I found by setting the gain to 65 and the ID filter to 15 and tones at 2+ worked well. This made the machine nice and stable and stay calm while while searching the ground. Check out my field test video to see if you like to see. Also depending on what pointer your using then the garret probe black old one interferes with the machine when in use as standard.... But by altering frequency shift that eliminates interference completely 👍 Nice review and look forward to how you get on with the Quest Pro
Another fantastic review Dan! I stumbled across these about a month ago and thinking about buying them. The 60 millisecond delay might bother me and I could see the delay on your video. I wonder if the Deus has a delay? BTW, you are supposed to use just one band and it goes in the long grooves on each side. That way you don't have to take the detector apart to get the band around the shaft.
I have these now about half a year, absolute perfect headphones. The delay is about 0,06 second so yes it's unnotable. Very lightweight and feels almost U don't wear them. Also it stays good in place on your head when you're digging. I don't use the rubber bands, I bought some Velcro-tape to stick on the back side of the receiver and the other velcro part ofcourse on the detector rod.
Once again a good product for a good price... And you always have your backup earphones if the batteries dye. Or buy two pairs of wireless.. Good job Dan
Well I bought them and the first time I used them the ear pads kept falling off! Also once the ear pads were off I could see that the mesh that covered one of the speakers was missing on the other one. I contacted Deteknix whose solution was to tape them on? Horrible support and flimsy design. My advice, avoid these. Mine are going back.
liking your reviews Dan, explaining about the product plain and simple, myself also not into all the hi tech stuff :) .. just one question, your At pro is waterproof, what about the wireless headphone gear?. .. looking forward to your review on the detector .. take care & HH Tina
at 6.26, you have not used the bands in the correct way.. they go on the side of the transmitter and the shaft and back to the opposite side of the transmitter.. bit hard to explain, but the transmitter case has channels left and right for the band, ..
+MTSGLabs Beat me to this one, I was going to say the exact same thing. Yeah band/s go vertical on each side in the vertical groves moulded into the case.
+Deep Digger Dan Great review and you pretty much nailed it. I have had a set of those headphones for a few months now and they are the only ones that work as advertised. My set has a magnetic power connector on the transmitter but I learned today that they have already replaced that connector with a standard USB socket. Good luck with the headset.
Really helpful review, thanks Dan. What a luxury, not being connected to the detector any more. Will certainly consider these next birthday. Do you also have a way of making the rain stop? Cheers Richard
Very nice review,Dan.So nice in fact that i bought a set.I haven't had a chance to test them yet,but i have a question i hope you can answer. On my transmitter it has a magnetic plug to charge it and i noticed on yours it has a slot on the side for a reg. charger. Is this a new change the company did?I can't find any suppliers that have that new design.Thank you.
Wow! Nice! My Whites V3i has the wireless headphones, My XP Deus is wireless, now I just need the Deteknix wireless headphones for my Garrett AT Gold. Then I will be set!! Thanks Dan for the Info! Great video:)
Another great review Dan. I love using wireless headphones, I'm currently using a different set up right now, but not as durable as these would be. Hey, wanted to ask if you ever got into watching tv comedies like "Last of the Summer Wine" or "Are you being Served"? I love all the British tv comidies from that time.
+Deep Digger Dan , with your great sense of humor, I figured you had. They just don't make them like those anymore. Luckily they still run them on public television over here. Thanks.
Hi Dan you did a grand job there I bought the X pointer wader several weeks ago and it is fantastic I was considering the wireless earphones and after your review I will get on their web site and find out approx time they last on one charge as you didn't say but saying that I have 3-4 of those fast charge thingies that I could use so problem solved lol anyway love all your vids no matter what they are about hh and gl
I'm curious Dan, do you get to keep this stuff or do you have to send it back after a time.? I agree with the wireless I likely would have bought these but they were not out when I went cord free with the Rapoo 3070's on the ATP had to buy the ATP adapter but they work 100%.
Deep Digger Dan I just ordered a pair for meself I have enjoyed all your videos and thanks you much. Looking forward to your trip coming up too. I will sponsor soon. Also do you have your DDDan hats for sale? I would love to show you off here in Vermont USA. Be well be safe and love your work your all about business and fun at the same time. THANKS Pamela
+hd02sporty I have used mine all day 8-9 hours and they kept running. If I am out longer I carry a 2400 mah battery you can find at the big box stores for $10 to charge them on the go.
I would love some wireless headphones for my hunts. I always get my headphones ripped off because the cord gets stuck in branches and what not...good and usefull revieuw
found my first ever Roman after 5 years of Detecting, a tribute penny 69-70 AD , my permission 79 acres has only delivered quality gold, silver, the odd copper dating from 1800-1970s and now my first ever Roman chuffed to bits
Same like my garret headphones, you can use music heasphones for your detector, there is only a wire on mine i dont care i can live with wires, and dont need to charge then
Hi Dan I have gone through you links about where to buy the wire free headphones , i have the Garrett AT pro do i have to buy a separate connector to fit to the AT pro so they will work or does the kit come with the connector already to fit the AT pro ? cheers .
This is great news. As you know I also have the AT pro and its a great machine but the original headset is horrible. I'm going to order these headsets right F now!!
Saying that how long does the battery last for in the transmitter? I brought the c scope ones very similar and they only lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes fully charged out the box. And it does say in the booket 3 to 5 hours what a con.
Your video inspires me to go out and get a metal detector I told a friend today I wanted to start and they said that's a sign of getting old lol anyways been looking at a seben metal detector they sell at 80pounds what would you recommend
Buddy, you are attaching the transmitter wrong and insecurely. You can check on the Deteknix website to see how they are supposed to be attached with the rubber bands.
Does anyone know if these will work with an XP Deus Lite, to the WS4 headphone control in conjunction with the Deus headphone adaptor plate? I presume they will, since the Deus unit spits out normal audio. Just wondering if anyone has tried them?
Just tried this yesterday on my AT Pro and loved it. One thing I noticed on your review is that you used both elastic bands on yours. I just used one. It goes in the grove and wraps around the shaft and and attaches to the other grove on the face of the sending unit.
purchased the W6 Lite model and have been using it for several weeks. absolutely love this system. works great on my ancient White's Prizm 4 machine.
For a new company I'm impressed with the price and quality these guys are offering. I'm seriously considering buying a Deteknix metal detector....thx to these reviews. Keep em comin Dan. Well done mate.

thanks Dan. first off I would like to say I very much enjoy your vids I ordered these for my at pro and just test them nice, lite, and loud! keep up the good work and keep swinging my friend!

Was in the process of getting these online when I hesitated and thought I'd check UA-cam for a review. Thanks Dan - they're on their way.

I'm curious Dan, do you get to keep this stuff or do you have to send it back after a time.? I agree with the wireless I likely would have bought these but they were not out when I went cord free with the Rapoo 3070's on the ATP had to buy the ATP adapter but they work 100%.
I think that you have put the rubber bands on wrong. There are groves on the side of the transmitter for the bands to sit in.
Great video! I dont metal detect but I would definitely get these if I did! Love your videos!
cheers for another great video dan :)
With it having the micro USB port you should be able to use any of the power packs used for charging cell phones to power/charge them in the field?
Depends, if the usb slot it unique on purpose. But if not I would think so ;)
Deep Digger Dan I just ordered a pair for meself I have enjoyed all your videos and thanks you much. Looking forward to your trip coming up too. I will sponsor soon. How long will they stay charged in different situations such as... detecting vs. media play?
