Hi, I have a 2017 MacBook Pro 15 inch and the screen isn’t broken, like cracked, but it went black and I can hook it up to an external monitor and it displays perfectly, but the screen won’t display on the laptop itself. Do you have a video that explains how to fix this? Is there a connector that disconnected internally or something? Would appreciate any help fixing this myself!

Most likely the LCD and/or the ribbon cables "flexgate" are damaged. The ribbon cables are located on the outside of the Macbook (top part in the crevice between the screen and palmrest, there are 2 of them). See if you see any cut/damage to the cables (as well as debris) First, put a flashlight up to the display and see if you see an image as it can be very hard to see. If you do see an image but no backlight, that can still be a problem with the cable or a problem with the backlight circuit. If you don't see any image at all, I would suggest replacing the LCD if you would like to do it yourself via our video =)

I have the exact same issue with the same laptop worked fine until one day while using it randomly turned black and doesn't turn on and its not cracked at all

I have exactly this model...and this morning when i turned on, i had a bad Surprise. So the display It seemed have a lower resolution and quality and Lines have popped up on display. So i touched the screen in various places and It looked Better, but not like hard to be. I updated system with the last update and now the screen Is black. Do you think that could be a display problem, graphic card , flat connector? Thank you

Screens for these models can be very expensive and hard to find new ones. Check any reputable online outlet and the best return/warranty you can
