Erinnert mich daran, wie sich Gustav Mahler in seinen Symphonien über den Wiener Walzer lustig gemacht hat.

Having never heard this piece before, I was taken back by the abrupt changes. It would be VERY difficult to sleep to this music!!! It was very entertaining.

13:04 Hello, as far as I know, Jörg Widmann liked to use motifs and fragments of works of other composers of academic music of different styles in his compositions. Please tell me what motif Widmann uses in this movement.

Fabulous delights. Who wrote the Introduction above? An absorbing, articulate play of words.

It means perhaps, “Du, Bayerisch”as a joke.

@@schnappi6602 yes but it actually was written during or after a trip to Dubai. You can read it in the description - sadly it's only in german

@@SuperIgill 😊 i live in Germany and I understand well German. In this peace, most of them are all very famous bayerisch songs, you can hear it also at Oktoberfest. 🍻🍺
He changed and interpreted in his way. Every German will understand immediately (when they hear this) as bayerische melody.
But thank you for the information! maybe I’m going to search and read this description, why he named it as Dubairisch.
Anyway, Du, Bayerisch! Means like, “you, my beloved country!” with love.
PS it is also only my interpretation...
