  • Hello everyone!
I am back with yet another backpacking video, this time of amazing colorful Bolivia! I Loved my time here and met many new friends, though I will say that the highest capital city in the world sure lives up to its name! At 3640 meters above sea level you will come to realize how great it is to have enough oxygen to breathe. Even though I have been over 5000 meters before, flying to La Paz from sea level is still pretty wild, and the whole first day I felt kinda drunk and a bit dizzy, having to take breaks every time I had to walk stairs and panting every time I had to climb onto the upper bunk in my hostel.
That being said, take it easy. Walk slowly just like the locals, try the local food, see a wrestling match with the cholitas, ingenious women who fight in their traditional skirts, braids and hats. In the beginning they were women who were victims of domestic violence, and they would meet to spar to relieve stress, make new friends and feel empowered. They soon drew a crowd of locals who wanted to watch, and it grew into a world famous sport where both men and women partake, but women are the main show. In my opinon, don't miss out!
The salt flats are another highlight, an otherworldly place where the sky meets the horizon in a seemingly invisible line. it's like walking in the sky, the water reflecting everything perfectly. 10/10 recommend, I have never seen a place like this and its just mind blowing.
    Enjoy the video! :)
