Fuck he sounded EXACTLY the same as he did in the studio! Super upset it took me until this year to get really into Nothingface. This looked like a killer setlist! RIP Matt and RIP Nothingface!
Rest Peacefully Matt, we will miss you. We played with this band several years ago and got the honor of meeting them and they were the most down to earth guys that you could meet, very nice. They were one of the most underrated bands ever. Always been a big fan.
Doug Prishpreed Damn ... I just got word today, bro. I can not believe! It was also in the crowd that he came back to the band again ... It's very sad! May he be in peace....
@Vandoty, What do you mean by saying "It was also in the crowd that he came back to the band again"? Did Matt recently say something before his death??
I used to consume A WHOLE FUCKING LOT of this album, and this song was always among my favourites. Astounding performance, the drumming is just insane. This band deserved so much more attention.
I had the pleasure of meeting these guys at Irock in Detroit with my brother back in 05. Matt was amazing on and off stage and he had a bad cold coughing his lung out had us cracking up cause I asked if he was alright he said "I'm not alright but I'm ok" 😂 fuck he spoke in his lyrics so sad to see him go
The vocals on this recording are indeed fantastic... when you manage to catch a night where the equipment is “on fire” dialed in like that? A true “bard” ought to sound better than anything that which “can” be reproduced. Fucking awesome Matt. Kuntrol. I got ya. They’ll never take us!!!
regarding this spefic song in terms of lyricism and tone during performance, its easy to tell this does indeed seem to come from a deeply personal place. The general overall themes of Matt Holt's lyrics obviously seem to stem from either personal AND political/governmental disillusionment, which was especially evident in the demos posted on YT from Nothingface's later work when they tried to reunite (prinicples of gansterism, etc. . .) It's the anger and revolting at this repetetive self-destructive behaviour he witnessed both personally and probably on t.v. with American politics in general that drew him to make a connection of paralellism from both as seeing the source of damage to either him or society coming from this repetetive "ignorant" or "self-Indulging" behavior. It's interesting to note that the sound clips used for this song relate to a realization that tends to mimick childhood naivity coming to realization of the brutality of the real world. Slowly but surely we realize that not everything is black and white, but that sometimes the very thing we thought should protect us is what is slowly killing us. This is a thematic expression seen very clearly, especially in today's society. TBH, though it is sad he passed, at least he didn't have to see what monstrosity the world is about to come to, which once again makes me want to draw a parallel, at least metaphorically, to the Nothingface song "Blue Skin", in which it appears to mimick boy the immediate joy, and sudden pain brought about by a drug trip; which seems to parallel american society during the era of trump. You have a group of people who seem to be riding a "high" off a monster that will soon be revealed to be leading to nothing but emptiness and pain, and unfortunately, great loss. . .
The "American Society" that you talk about is beyond your bubble. The USA is a large swath of land and people. Please remember that. That is what makes the USA great. I enjoyed the two times that I got to see Nothingface play live. RIP Matt Holt.
@Romi Kav, I'm with you on this, we have got to talk, there's not much NF fans that comprehend the Atrocity & Skeletons message hence why NF wasn't that popular, a lot of their fans didn't help them get the recognition they deserved
I agree Matt would've fucking hated to see how much worse this shit show has become. Regardless of what any dumb "patriot" would tell you, our government is absolute shit and America is far from free.
Never got to see them but followed them intensely from my rural lil town in Vermont. Felt sad when they came out with goofy matching outfits for Skeletons.
I love this so much and am so sad Nothingface is gone forever.
Matt's singing on this one is simply amazing. Even better than on the CD IMO. RIP Matt.
Imagine, he singing ether in a live set 🤩
RIP Matt Holt one of Metals Greatest Unknown singers. We miss your amazing talent.
This was the best band in the history of metal. God damnit!
Few people find exactly what they were meant to do in life, Matt Holt and Tom Maxwell are two of these people.
Fuck he sounded EXACTLY the same as he did in the studio! Super upset it took me until this year to get really into Nothingface. This looked like a killer setlist! RIP Matt and RIP Nothingface!
Yeah man. He was one of the most underrated singers in metal. Gone too soon. I was lucky enough to see them live. I feel lucky.
MATT HOLT WAS FROM ANOTHER PLANET. SO SAD THAT HE IS GONE...
This band was so dynamic. No doubt one of my top 5.
Rest Peacefully Matt, we will miss you. We played with this band several years ago and got the honor of meeting them and they were the most down to earth guys that you could meet, very nice. They were one of the most underrated bands ever. Always been a big fan.
One of my all time favorite songs from one of my favorite bands.
RIP Matt
I've said for 20+ years, criminally underrated.
RIP Matt! I'm dedicating this day to you and Nothingface. We will all miss you
Doug Prishpreed what?!
He's dead bro. Sad stuff. Always hoped I'd catch a reunion show. He had some degenerative disease and that's all they are saying right now.

@Eric Draven Nevermore
Not bro. I meant that I wish I had seen him back in the band again. But unfortunately they had let go of it. :/
Matt had the most beautiful voice
Awesome band.

One of the greatest bands of their time. RIP Matt Holt
The middle "I think you're evil....EVIL!!!" sampling is taken from "The Birds" :)

You will be missed Matt Holt.
Chris was is amazing drummer
He was and Tommy (who is playing here) was a good friend and roadie for the band and did them justice. Kit sounds amazing here.
Also, I'm completely shocked that Matt passed away. Didn't had a clue.
Saw them open up for Stuck Mojo. Top 5 shows I've been to. Instant fan.
This one be lit boys
Still the best fucking band that ever existed.
Yes more please!
I'd like to report a murder. Tom's guitar was destroyed and it's on video.
Damn this brings back so many awesome memories. I miss NF. Sad Matt's not with us anymore.
Raw🔥🔥
Fuck man, RIP Matt Holt and Nothingface...
Such a really good vocalist and a really good band..
The best venue in Phoenix!
This was Matt’s favorite song

My evaluation of this eulogy is stfu.
Kid just made a 3 page post just to shit on trump lol it’s not that deep
Increíble!

A lot of true fans hate skeletons. I like the album as a whole but I have to say it's their weakest.
3:08 This fking part is fking amazing! What a riff!
Sample taken from "The Exorcist III"
The intro guys voice sample or the normal female voice part?
Flyers
