  • The radio code is located on the radio code card in the owner's manual or through a Volkswagen dealer; give them a call and have your VIN number on hand. You will also need to pull your radio out to get the serial number; if you can't pull it out, you can stop by a local shop. They should do it for a few dollars, which takes less than 10 minutes. Again, you will need this code before beginning the procedure.

You don't always have to depending if your radio is original and potentially if the factory marked it. In you car the first place I would look is the trunk area by the spare tire - there is a sticker with your VIN number (a white one) below your the VIN number on the same sticker is a 4 digit number, that is your radio code. Also skim through your owners manual sometimes people leave a sticker with the radio code somewhere in the owners manual, it would be a sticker added or on the back or front pages someone may have wrote it in. Also in the same pouch as the owners manual there is a radio code card with the code. You can google image search, 2008 VW Beetle radio code sticker location, someone shows the sticker next to the spare tire for reference. Please share an update if this worked, thanks.

Transmission doesn't shift. Stays in what seems to be 2nd or 3rd all the time. Manually puting it in first and second seems to work but does not shift while in drive.
ABS light always on and red "break" dash indicator blinks and beeps three times. Break warning will do this while driving or in park if engine is revved.
Driver and passenger windows don't work using the switches but driver window does work using the key in the door feature. Only the driver's window and it works from either door.
Central locking works with door switches and exterior locks.
Door illumination on switches work on driver's side and dimming switch works.
Interior lights and sun visor lights dont work
Little red light on door locks do not blink when car is locked and alarm doesnt work.
    Power mirrors dont work.
12v outlet closest to dash works but no illumination. 12v outlet near ebrake does not work and does not illuminate.
Previous owner has installed after market stereo which seems to work fine

Hey rina vlogs, thanks for watching my video. If your radio code isn’t in your manual binder then, In my opinion you need your vin number and the serial number from the top of the radio, which would require you to pull out the radio to get that. Most local shops can do it relatively fast. Then you call the service department at a local VW dealership provide them with the VIN and serial, requesting your radio code.

@@WheelsTips My VW Dealer now says it has to come into shop that it needs to be scanned-local dealers no longer have access to codes $175 labor fee for an hour. I sent my numbers to ebay code provider...waiting to receive code then will follow your video for 2000 Clarion CD changer radio tape deck.

Hey thanks for watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment, greatly appreciated. What I did in that situation was drove the car for a longer trip with the radio on or left the car running for about an 1.5 hours with the radio on. Looking forward to an update what worked for you, thanks a bunch.

Greetings, I am not sure what you are asking due to heavy grammar mistakes, please use google translate if you speak another language that way you can copy and paste.
