I'm in the let Callahan have Burks for an off season and camp. I'm going on the assumption that it will be a 6th or 7th as compensation. That late in the draft the pickings are slim, I'd prefer give it another year. If the compensation is a 4th, I'd take it. I understand your take and I wouldn't cry over it, Burks doesn't move my "Titans" needle.

I am all for the various trade scenarios you mentioned - any combination of a 4th and 6th to hop up into the late 2nd-3rd round. I think the main issue with this is, despite the point value charts lining up, like you yourself reiterated, every team knows how much weaker the draft gets in mid-late day 3 in this specific draft class. So why would any team be willing to sacrifice their day 2 pick for two day 3 picks in what is a notably weaker day 3 class?
And Burks is not a deep threat a deep threat is the receiver like Hollywood brown, Burks is like a big possession receiver with enough size to maybe give you a little run after the catch but he doesn't have any wiggle so he's pretty much just a big possession receiver
