Assalamu alaykum On 1:32 the Shaykh was mentioning the hadith of the slave girl, the answer the slave girl gives is translated to be "in the heaven" shouldn't it be "above the heaven"?
Walayka salaam, Shaykh uthaymeen says in his majmoo' : "The meaning of 'Allaah being in the heavens' is that alaa as-samaa' means above the heavens . The word "fee" (in the) means above (something) like Allaah says: Travel upon (arabic word that is used is fie) the earth... (29:20). And likewise as-samaa meaning highness (al-uluw).
fi doen't mean in .it means on.when allah talk about hypocrite sura baqarah at early beginning when the hypocrite has been said don't mischief in the earth it means on the earth.
