Once again this year, we are pleased to welcome new residents to the delight of our visitors: howler monkeys and gray caimans have joined the zoo. It took a few years of waiting to obtain the necessary approvals and be able to bring them from Guyana, proof once again that the management of a zoo can not be improvised.
Today the Guadeloupe Zoo is a member of EAZA, a true European quality label. The Zoo is one of the 15% of zoos in Europe to have obtained this label Quality EAZA. This distinction is our pride but also a guarantee of quality and respect for animal welfare.
Through your visits, you also contribute to the safeguarding of wildlife and for that we thank you. Thanks also to you for having elected us among the 5 best tourist sites of the Caribbean concretized by the Traveler's Choice of Tripadvisor 2015!
