I appreciate the honesty about the motor situation with your wing ride. It's easy for the casual fan to assume that every team should be fast, or if not to just put a new bullet in and get back into the mix. I think alot of sprint car fans don't realize the real costs of running at a high level, but just assume that every team has spare motors and cars, and they assume a slower team just isn't putting in enough effort to be fast. Most teams are making due with what they have with a limited budget and can be just as successful as a well funded Outlaws or High Limit team. Keep putting out quality videos with your insiders view of dirt racing!!!
One of my favorite things about your videos is the detail you go into with the way the car feels and the set up changes you guys make to adjust. It makes it 100 times more interesting to know whats going on rather than just videos of ripping laps. Your content and editing has been Excellent as of late!
Surprised they didn't force you to take the shock cables off. I know it was probably just a missed thing by you guys and not intentional. Anytime I went anywhere winged racing after doing non wing with in car adjusters. I'd get yelled out, due to forgetting the cables connected. Most of the time they'd like the controllers stay, but the cables had to go. There was a time I was forced to remove the adjusters too.
A big ol winged wheelie is something special to see in person. I remember as a kid going to Cottage Grove to watch the WoO, and Jack Haudenschild would rip a MASSIVE wheel stand as he got pushed out of the pits for his qualifying run.
I always enjoy watching you, but I really enjoyed watching that evening. You did a helluva job against some very strong competition. Hopefully you can pick up a even better ride in a winged car.
watched some of the racing on the free preview on flo where you were 3rd fast not bad for being off that amount of time and doing that well, just like riding a bike, they got some very distinct weird looking tow/pushtrucks there but you do have a contender with that car on a good night though, those guys arn't just locals I mean they are but since you got the heart of openwheel racing that brings them to indiana so by default you got all the usac guys and guys and girls that run very big shows and many types of cars windom and axiom for example its not easy to go toe to to with them and earnest assessment though no need to burn out your tools on terre haute especially when you got skin in the game and it took soo much time to get it put back togather especially when most of the tracks are going to be the cowboy up bullrings that mavrick runs as well as the regional speedways, I always liked winged more then non wing myself as that is what we saw around here though it was pavement till we went to eldora though my cousin's husband did go to bryan raceway to see the sprints on dirt series that also raced the paved tracks while there one time, though they did run one non wing show the last season at avilla before the town forced it to close, people complaining about the noise and the pollution though it was the houses that built closer to the track and drag way there, the sod series actually for a time was owned by dave muzzillo a distant relation on my moms side who also was the promotor at baer field but that track was closed and he had nowhere to run the series so it was sold and I think it went one more season and went on hiatus its said its largly supplanted by the great lakes super sprints now, long and short bryan was a half mile just over the boarder of indiana in ohio home to ohio art that made the etch a sketch and spangler candy, I wish we had more winged racing in the north half but people are like naww the action is the non wings, and I get it those go all over the track as though they are floating on water but as you say they are so dangerous. but its indiana they like the non wing cars and seems midgets and modifieds though depends where in the state you are, there are many tracks that are dirt late model fans, but I like the wing cars as they are faster and the wing on top acts as a bit of downforce to not flip as easy, act as a cumple zone in a wreck or car landing upside down, or slow the flips if it does
The Home Pro Roofing team up in Michigan has been swapping out drivers quite a bit. I don’t know what they have for a 410 program but they usually field 2 360s. I have no affiliation with them but worth a shot 🤷🏻♂️
Always love when you say your problems, and what changes you made. I'm going you need to do this and this. This time it was the same. LOL. Was once chief-ing a non-wing 360 car. Got the car to tight on a small bull ring knock out 3 Jacobs ladders. Next race told drive we were to tight. driver took turns out of the front, I put a turn in the right rear. The car won that night.
After a crap day at work, TMez in the 00 Wing car Made me Smile ! Outstanding Run, you were not running against a Easy Field. Best of Luck and Skill Always. May have to see if shop Temez has any #00 shirts ?
I get enough cameos in the background of your videos with me going around with my siren 😂 Gonna need to get a feature on here soon... Maybe a TMez ride along sounding the siren 🤔😂
So a question for you Thomas. The car goes in and obviously doesn't go in with the chassis rolled over on the right side. With the wing obviously is going to keep the car planted on the left rear. Correct? If that's the case ,is the car driving off the corner on the right rear , left rear , both , or does that change as you go through the corner? Looks to me like you can run in as deep and as hard as you would like with the wing , whereas non-wing you have to use more finesse and less bravado ?
@@RacingWithChuck27 You're delusional if you believe wing cars aren't safer than the non wing cars. There's hardly any non wing cars, there's way more wing racing that's why there's been more fatalities in wing cars because there's not much non wing racing in comparison.
Tmez, by what you're saying, it sounds like the non- Winged Sprintcars have got you a little spooked since the er, "incident". I really do hope you're not swearing off the "things without wings" because I love to see you racing in the U.S.A.C competition, and it would be a great pity indeed if you never came back to racing them. That track has got the best track prep I've ever seen lol I've been going to dirt tracks since early 80s
Definitely, they made it all the way to the end of the A main before it even slicked off. Great track work

If all us subscribers pitch in $2.00 we could get Tmez a decent motor. Unless they cost more than $52,000. $5.00 would get him a $130.000. Just saying

Thanks again Thomas for signing the old ladies hat at Tri-State Speedway Saturday night you made her night.
Any time!

Hope a quality winged ride comes your way!
This track blew my mind in Midget Week. Really missed you that week. Um maybe I have to go back next year 😂
How doesthe front wheels move around so much without the steering wheel moving with them?
Yes they do, sprint cars and midget have a lot of bump steer in them. You don't notice it as much in car driving, but you do notice it some.
The steering gear has a torsion bar in it so it don’t rip the steering wheel out of my hand

man i’d hate to see ya go away from non wings but i can see where your coming from
Why are the non winged sprints more dangerous the the winged ?
Is that a serious question? Think general physics.....
@@fastydave Just curious because other drivers have described them as fun to drive.
The wings on the car absorb a lot of energy if they flip. That's why you see so many older guys driving wing sprint cars.
