I think the unfortunate part is the 2 best fizzy weps (triN/machine) really needed the paint, but its overall a good change fixing a long time playstyle issue.
i like this change a lot. it teaches new players who use fizzy to trust the aiming reticle; while at the same time teaching new players fighting against it that standing still is generally dangerous. at higher levels the trapping capabilities of this bomb was unmatched and i think in some situations a little unfair. decreasing the range has made it more fair imo. plus, the decreased range incentivizes both new and experienced players to MOVE FORWARD before attempting to fizzy spam, making it harder (and hopefully less viable). also this might be a net buff because fizzy would fall off smaller platforms. {opinions from a former tri main}
Net buffing the best sub in the game while making it more straightforward and less nuanced? Yep, that's Splatoon 3 alright. They could just nerf the paint on its explosions and be done with it, a straight nerf that keeps the fun chasing interaction, but nope, chaos baby, brute force power, gorilla tactics and no nerfs to anything ever.
Mmm yes the *nuance* of spamming paint from across the map with no downsides In all seriousness it’s a fighting buff and a painting nerf. It’s a good thing by A LOT
@@jakotens the nuance of it being unable to force someone to move but punishing them for retreating, effectively "hooking" them to you. If they just nerfed the paint, the interaction would've remained and you'd get a sub that is more in line with the rest balance-wise (because Fizzy is and always was way too good). But now it's just another Splat Bomb, except also Burst Bomb and Curling Bomb at almost Autobomb price point. What's the catch, again?
@@TheLaXandroFizzy still has a TON of range. And now that you can threaten lethal damage with it you can just throw it behind someone for the same effect. The bounce nerf gives it more counterplay. A sub having too many tools isn’t “nuance”, it’s a lack of balance.

Time for more Sub Res to be ran
ahead of da game 🦍
I just hope they buff curling as compensation... it's still more expensive, and now it's even more so "just a worse fizzy"
3:30 there's always splatoon 2 for old fizzy comparisons! Even if everything is a little bigger ofc
I love yapping 🗣️🗣️
Honestly have not played my beloved Aerospray but I think I will hate this change
Fizzy spam is definitely not as toxic as a weapon that doesn't need to aim and kills in one shot.
Roller in S1?
What
Good think we don't have one of those in Splatoon 3? At least last I checked anyway, unless you're talking about special weapons.

Did we watch the same video?

What the fuck are you talking about
