I love how he says, "isn't that just stupid..." While it is of course, brilliant, he gets his point across that we should not be fooled and most of the things we accept in society are just a sleight of hand.
Timing.Brilliant misdirection, wonderful supportive audience participation with the routine. And the pure Magical Reaction on Rebel Wilson's amazed but entertained facial expressions .One routine I am sure will be learned practiced first hopefully then entertain many this season of goodwill. Five star entertainment by Penn Jillette's repertoire
Loki Idiot! He is not called Julia Pennette, that was a misspelling by the uploader of the video. His name is of course Jonathan Ross. Gosh, so many stupid people in the internet.
I love it when they do these types of tricks but I REALLY love it when they trick the audience at the end of it. For example if he at the end made the rope a solid loop or something and the audience wasn't shown how it was done.
Probably because P&T have really been punished, by their peers, for revealing how tricks are done. They probably learned that they can get away with the sort of thing you mentioned...reveal how the trick was done (sorta...) and then re-confuse the audience with more mystery.
Never heard of the guy but now I know that you're a hater. Just because someone is more successful than you and you feel shitty about your life doesn't mean you're better.
Rebel Wilson was definitely the best choice of that panel to be his volunteer, but guys, think how brilliant it would have been if Roisin Conaty had been there! OMG
Penn Julliete? Not just spelled wrong in the Video title, but the description and hashtag too. This is pretty unprofessional for a TV studio to make this kind of mistake.
Seen them (Penn and Teller) live show in Las Vegas, cost $160 each for entry (so $320)....... I can tell you as a Scotsman I like getting value for money, this was unbelievable, made my wife speechless........ best $320 I've ever spent!!!! No, but serious, if you ever get the chance to see their show, you HAVE to see it, 3 hours of non stop entertainment that you'll never forget........ sheer brilliance
It's possible, but I do recall teller often doing bits on his own entirely... But with penn playing bass off to one side gjr no reason other than... Well he's been, you expect him to be making noise
Penn and teller only ever reveal really corny or old magic tricks and in so doing they show you something more impressive then seeing the same lame magic shop trick for the 1000th time, they show you the skill, misdirection and humor behind it. Their Blastoff routine, Teller smoking a cigarette, sawing someone in half, or the cups and balls are all good examples of this.
@@doc-holliday- I agree. But there was a show in past (I forget the name) where a masked magician showed how different tricks were made. I had to stop watching the show because he was ruining it for me. I love seeing great magic, but I don't look up how it's done because the mystery is a main part for it for me. :)
Penn, you are a gem. I pray that you will really find the real in life. You are an expert at knowing that our senses fool us. Our pride and our minds do too. May you find eternal life in the One who gave you life.
@Karl Burnett I listened to Presto on audio. He explains the reasons why he lost the weight. I know that maintaining an ideal weight is difficult. I hope he does get back on track for his health.
Definitely, Penn is an avowed skeptic much like Houdini, I feel like there might have been a bit of hero worship there as a child, especially with his efforts into debunking things. That said personally I don’t think there is anything contradicting in keeping an open mind to things we don’t understand while living by and with the scientific method
@@Spirosaur, do professional magicians tend to be philosophic and religious skeptics?! Someone must have studied the question. For example, here's The Amazing Randi on the topic: ua-cam.com/video/B1YiDN8MT9w/v-deo.html
This is honestly absolutely amazing. He instant stooged the entire audience.
It really is!
It's odd to see Penn Julliete without Teller Romeo.
XD
I think this Juliette fellow will fool Penn and Teller
It’s also odd when you spell Penn’s last name wrong
His last name isn't Romeo. In fact he doesn't have a last name.
@@vedantpophale7216 unless you're trying to flex your knowledge and still get it wrong 😂

This kind of magic is my favourite it gets everyone involved and at the same time is just for that one spectator
And the magician too! It's wonderful.

I would love to see a video of Rebel’s reaction to watching this for the first time.
Penn Jillette* Come on guys, it's not even a mistake, it's written wrong 3 times here
Honestly the person who runs this channel doesn’t have a clue.
Now I understand why most news sites disable comments.
It's fixed now.
@@brandonmartin-moore5302 no it's not, the # tags attach to this still says Juliette
These type of tricks are way more exciting to see than the real magic tricks
I kind of agree with this.

That's what Penn Jillette would have done. This Penn Julliete fellow has a different style, though.
There's a fold to do the trick without the gimmick.. don't know why he didn't end with that
He and Teller have done some routines like that in their live shows.
This magician looks a lot like Penn Jillette. Almost exactly like him.
Hmm who'sthis Penn Juliette?
Sounds similar, too.
the resemblance, is uncanny..
Must be magic
I saw him in a magic show with a guy who looks exactly like Teller.
Ooh... my favourites Pen Jiuliani and Ruble Weston!
Pain Gillete and Rubble Wellson? WOW!
Penn just makes me smile!
You're not the only one!
What’s really baffling is that people have been commenting about the misspelled name for almost a week now and it still hasn’t been fixed. 🤦♂️
UA-cam comments are a bit "boy who cries wolf" though. Nobody involved in making this will read a single comment here.
@Christopher Purcell Exactly. Some channels do, but obviously not this one lol
Actually all this Comments help the Video to get more attention so fixing it would not even be that smart.
Well, they fixed it.🤷♂️

Do your homework guys
Right? You'd think the official channel of the Jonathan Ross Show would at least figure out how to spell their guests' names!
It’s called auto correct
Yeah it’s pen jilette.

I see what you did there.
Shit like this is why I love Penn & Teller
I'm reminded of the hoop trick they do while holding the participants eyes closed. Good stuff.

I think he was talking to Junithan Russ.
Underrated comment. Well done
The hashtag in the video description STILL has Penn's name misspelled 🤦🏻♀️
Really enjoyed this segment!!!
It was pretty great.
He's no David Cumberfield
Look Woolly Films 🤣
Or a classic like Harris Hudinni
David Blame
The greatest trick Penn Julliete ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist... until this video.
Anyone remember his oldskool warm SNL opening with Teller...They did to the TV audience, what Penn did to Rebel here...
Brilliantly clever..!!
Rebel Wilson and Penn Jillette name a more iconic duo.
Penn is fantastic!
He really knocked this one out the park!
Great variation of the wonderful Slydini act with paper balls. I love it.
I guess that's one way of putting it.

I saw a guy do this trick for a small child at the Street Performance World Championships in Dublin.

The funny thing is Jonathan Ross hosted Fool Us with Penn and Teller
ROFL
Bummer! I thought he was going to actually do a slight of hand in the middle of showing the audience the "secret" to the trick.
So technically we're all fools.. until the tricks is exposed
