The love that so many Pacific Islanders show to Kiribati is overwhelming... including all the other people from all over the world. It shows that there are so many people who care about the wellbeing of other people who they don't know. The human heart is a powerful machine and it shows that there is a connection between every single human in the world.

i shared this on my Facebook so i can do my little part of telling the world about Kiribati and the smallest things that we can do to prevent climate change.
i know that my country will welcome them with open arms. if only i am the president of my country, i will visit Kiribati and help out. im disabled and jobless so i really can't do much to help so i just shared their story on my Facebook.

It's heartbreaking to see people lose their homes through natural disasters, fire and etc... but to lose your homeland, along with your identity and knowing that you'll be irrelevant in years to come, is just another level. Oh my heart cries out so much for these lovely people 💔😥

For those that still deny climate change, these are people that have already lost two islands, you can feel the sadness in their very articulate voices. These are not peeps that will benefit by towing the line, they are leaving and experiencing the direct effects of the seas taking away their land. Me heart pains watching these young adults seemingly feeling the helplessness of their situation. Much love to all in Kiribati

As a Pacific islander its really hard to explain because no one will ever feel the pain we feel as people from little tiny flat islands. All we can say is just “imagine being in the middle of a huge body of ocean on a tiny island seeing & hearing the ocean from every corner of the island with no land insight” now imagine seeing the body of ocean level with the land. That is how we feel as Pacific islanders. Its almost like being on a tiny boat in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight.
& now think about it. For others it is very easy to say “just get up & leave” imagine leaving your identity, culture, heart, loved ones, yourself! It is like leaving yourself. Your body is in one place but your, mind, heart & soul is at home. Its really really really hard to explain our struggle.

I’m from PNG, living here in Brisbane QLD.
Listening to the young ladies spoke about the love of their Island and the culture also uncertainty about the future because of the climate change happening now. The tears was streaming down my eyes as I watched young students voice their concerns.
Climate Change, is the problem for the whole world to get moving to solve it. Peace be with you all.

I see your troubles. I see your pain. All I can tell you is to never give up. The next generation of Kiribati should never give up. If you all put in something, something small, I can tell you that it will make and be a huge difference. Any type of input can be part of something big. Even I am trying to do put some ideas together on how this climate change issue can be solved. You youth of Kiribati must speak out. Be outspoken, let your leaders and the U.N hear first hand from you the burden you carry every single day. Don't hide in your shell, you have the right to be heard. Yes culture may pull you back, I understand because the young can never talk to the elders about certain things in my culture. But once Kiribati is gone so will your culture and traditions. Your culture and Traditions only survive off the land. It is never too late or too early to start. You would'nt want to look back and say I should've done this and that once it is too late. Your voices can be heard, yell it from your heart. Be outspoken don't be afraid about what others think and feel, because in the long run they will be the ones looking up to. Even if your in the early stages of being a teenager, never give up. Cause if you give up all your hopes and dreams will be useless. Once you let go of something huge you can never get it back. Soeak up, let your voices be heard by the United Nations leaders, make them get goosebumps, put a good shiver up and down their spine, put them in their place and remind them of their responsibilities. Tell them about the fear and burden you cary everyday of your lives. My birth country, fiji, has opened their arms in letting Kiribati people live there and have given them an entire island to occupy (Rabi island). I believe that isn't enough, in fact I don't believe that's right. I believe that they should stay in Kiribati. The land they love and choose to be in. They should'nt be classified as 2nd class or refugees, who would want to be. My point us that every voice should be hear. No matter colour, gender, nationlity, culture, tradition, belief and religion your from, your voice must be heard. Kiribati it's all in your hands. Go for it ande conquer you Mt Everest! stay strong and believe that your hopes and dreams will come true!

I am a Vanuatuan and it saddens me to watch this clip. This young Kiribaties generation do really seen and experienced the effects of Climate change. I am saddened that world polluters like US, China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, British, Brazil, France, Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, Germany and many more that are part of this destruction are sitting idle! I appeal to all Pacific countries like Vanuatu, Fiji, PNG, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia under the umbrella of MSG or PIF to start making some contribution to help relocating some of the Kiribaties. We must ACT NOW.

Tetap semangat optimis tetap tersenyum. God bless you..

Climate change is natural. These people have dealt with it in the past and what they did was get on their boats and populate new islands. The only reason they are stuck now is because they forgot their own history due to colonization. The elder woman had to teach them about nutritional meals. I'm sad for these people. So, so sad.

KirituvaluPasifika great! I am finishing my project in Vietnam in late August, currently I am testing a new concept of living in the low sea-level communities, affordable living conditions can be done in climate change areas. Your people don't have to leave your islands and I can promise you on that. if the test is successful, in which I believe it will be, are based on the facts of my mathematical calculation designs. However a test need to be done to prove my new concept has its practical application.
