i'm comparing using my technics SB-F3s (restored, my pride and joy), i can hear a controlled bass with much presence , almost warm sounding, but the mids don't feel warm sounding at all, but still feels safe and detail laking, i think the sound is neutral but very clean (which is strange while not being vivid)... the treable is weak, very safe and i must say clearly controlled by the crossover, with a not natural early "roll off" as for a metalic dome tweeter... so far a smooth sound, with clean voices and a never exhausting treable in exchange of detail.... a safe move by KEF
@@streamcnoremorse3323 i have the technics SB-F1 which are vivid and revealing speakers, amazing performance as close listening mini monitors, with the only issues being the vivid presentation (which i actually like) and the SB-F3, this are more neutral, and not so critical in details, as close listening monitors they provide a truly full range experience i might say the most underrated series of speakers ever (they need a lot of service, though)
I admit I clicked on this but .... surely this test has a logical challenge.... isn't the sound we experience dependent on the sounds system and speakers on which we listen to it more than the quality of the speakers in the video?
slso consider you are hearing it through that particular microphone and in that particular room... These videos can ONLY be used to compare to the same setup with different speakers... they dont tell you how the speakers sound if you brought them
Why does EVERYONE measure KEFs wrong but use them correctly? You aren't not supposed toe them in at all. That destroyed the whole point stated in the very patent to the Uni Q. They used to have a dummy Theil style outer flattened rim that they ended up replacing it with elements outside of the driver only meant to have point mono speaker on axis measurements or these where any do you have the speakers pointed at you? They aren't even single point anymore you realize that right? The single point comes from the tweeter and the flare summing at an angle.
@@bk1566 not every speaker would require 30° layout. You toe in too much , treble wil dominate, and you keep straight bass will dominate. So there is a point in between which gives best balance between bass abd treble response. Offcourse it will depend on many factors like room reflectivity, tweeter dispersion angle, distance between speakers, distance from side walls etc etc. So experiment and judging by your ear is the key.
@@rktrkt-tw8nd We will review your comments. However, the setup in this video has a rigorous FR measurement of +-7dB on average and shows a slight downward measurement along the Harman target.
@@bk1566 do they design and test speakers with 30° layout ? Where did you get the term of standard 30° layout ? Why speaker should be always at 30° ? 🤣😆😂 Try toe out a bit. There is no harm. This is " standard problem " of "audiophiles". They all consider themselves expert. 😉🤣🤣
The absolute humor i take in listening to a KEF R3 song demo....on my tv.....playing through my personal KEF R3 Metas 🤣
It sounds just like my built in Macbook Pro speakers.
Beautiful speakers

What speaker do you really like or monitor for listening? I agree with your opinion on KEF R3

not only that but its a mono mic lol

티트랩 딱좋다
I want more bass
What is the name from the speaker stands?
i here alot more sounds ive not heard before
these speakers is not near when you sit down in front of the pc's screen ?
Ender çağlar Yes, PC settings and music listening settings are used separately.
what is the other equipment that you are using? (sub, amp etc.)
Kef R3 vs Genelec 8030c
I’m thinking of nearfield use. What do you recommend?
The R3 are about 4x the size of the 8030c lol. The R3 are not meant for nearfield even if they're fantastic speakers on their own
@@orthosympa6993 Guess I'm getting 8030c lol
If you have more space pull these speakers further away from the rear walls. You will get a bigger stage and tighter faster bass. Enjoy 😉
Do you think nad c368 is enough for r3's?
It is enough if the space is not too big.

@@bk1566 thanks man. And did u try them in biwire with this amp?
Is nad and kef a bright combo?
hows the bass on these.. if i love bass.. will i need a wooooofer
The subwoofer is suitable for bass extension and room mode cancellation.
It has a big impact. recommendation

Nice speakers too close together and too close to the wall. Put them in a bigger space and drive with a better amp. Live a little.
There is more sizzle in the sound, may be speakers are too much toed in.
This layout is a standard 30 degree layout. That's a room problem

so do you think it is good ?
Of course !!!!
DAC is not good.. Sound is skinny.
Poor selection of song
Poor selection of music
