My Pops drove a 79 352. The company he was driving for bought a hole fleet of them brand new in 79. He would sneak us kids on runs to LA back in the 80s when we were out of school for summer. Some of my best memories were in that Pete. Hoping some day to find a clean 79. Always loved the 2 windows in rear. His had a Cummins in it.

Peterbilt changed to the 362 in 1981. I love both of them. The 352 looks like a 352H (highcab) judgeing by the gap between the tires and cab. What i love about your 362 the most is its ALL ORIGINAL. No stupid train horn or ridiculous stretched frame. It would have been really cool if you had restored the 352 and put it back in service with orwell! Also now you need a very 372 to complete the trio!

I absolutely love Peterbilt cabovers! My Dad was a long distance truck driver. I was born in 1974 and from birth until my Dad had to medically retire in 1990, I travelled all over this great Nation of ours and Canada mainly in cabover semi trucks. Most were either Peterbilts or Freightliners but my Dad always loved Pete’s! His dream semi would be a metallic blue Peterbilt with a Caterpillar or Cummins engine, and the truck and trailer both having lots of lights and shiny chrome. One of these days I’m going to buy an old cabover Peterbilt and some kind of box trailer and flatbed trailer and then do a ground up, frame off restoration on both things to honor my Dads memory! If he was still alive today, he would absolutely love to watch videos from this UA-cam channel and many more that are exactly like it!

Hello, I am a great Spanish fan of trucks from all over the world, and of course the North Americans are on my list of favorites, especially Cabovers, and Peterbilt is at Number one, in Spain we had mainly two brands of heavy trucks that it sure sounds to you, an ENASA era Pegaso, and the other was Barreiros-Dodge that was finally absorbed by Renault Trucks, Barreiros assembled many vehicles in its Madrid factory in Villaverde, among them North American cars in the 60s and 70s, the third generation Dodge Darts, Those corresponding to the years 1965 and 1966, of course at that time and in Spain were the best automobiles on the market, also the most expensive, very few European countries could say that they assembled authentic North American automobiles. Thank you very much for your video, it is very well explained and it is a pleasure to see your machines in detail. Thank you. Greetings from Spain.

I teamed in a 362 with a good(now gone but not forgotten)friend for a few months pulling a 53' flatbed mostly between FL. and MA. hauling anything we could find. Like "Orwell", it was powered by a CAT. It was a pretty nice old truck and didn't ride all that bad. I dove the old 352's for years and they were super good trucks. There was as much hit you in the face difference between them and the COE Freighhtliner as the battery boxes on those 2 trucks. The only flaw I ever found in the old 352 was that they popped and snapped a lot when you were making hard turns and maneuvering around at a slow speed but I guess that's what kept them from cracking and breaking. I was impressed with how good the old Cummins fired up! Orwell sounds like he might be loosing prime. Maybe a check valve. I wound up going to a hardware store and buying a galvanized check valve for a water line and installed it where the draw line hooks on at the fuel tank and that fixed mine. I say a lot because I see a lot and I try to leave constructive comments. I hope some of this has been helpful or at least interesting. Thanks for this great video😎🇺🇸

Ya man love the truck cabover content. Be really cool to see you get another old Cabover and take it from junkyard abandoned to a shake your moneymaker to either put on the road to make some money or sell off. That sort of restoration is very cool. Congrats on the Pete you have and the job you've done on it [may want to build a battery box either on the side or on the deck so you don't have to go through all that grief when a jump is needed [the current location isn't making much sense as you say]. :-) Cool stuff!

Actually I'm thinking of a few different rigs for the future. Something with a V8 Detroit, or other kinda rare body styles. Time will tell.

Nice to get the 352 info. Notice the front corners radiuses look different. A more aero cabover? I loved building truck models as a kid. I bought 2 kits ($5 each) to build a 110 b.b.c. dual sleeper as nobody made a kit. An International 50 ton dump truck supplied the Detroit 16V which had 4 stacks. Dual aircleaner pipes thru the sleeper. Thanks for the 352 memories.

I remember the cab overs when I was a kid in the 70's which I called those flat nose when I was growing up. I had a uncle who drove a cab over when he drove for Coca-Cola 18 wheeler then he went independent which he pulled different trailers including flatbed but when he was killed in late 70's or early 80's he was hauling cattle.

I absolutely love cabovers and I think it is crazy that we are not still making them everything is all conventional now which sucks the last true cabovers are Freightliner Argos and I think they stopped making those in 2015 and I've only seen them in Australia a few of them in Canada they are such beautiful trucks I wonder would it be possible to put a old school cab over on a new frame with the new modern engine and transmission

I think the 362 has larger radiuses on the front corners. Aerodynamics in a cabover. Both nice. I built 352 models as a kid.

@@fsctrucking You bet and I love the sound of your CAT!. Mine was Cummins. Prefer the 3406b. Had one in a 89 International Eagle C/O. Trucks don't sound as good anymore.

352 is nice! Had one just like it. Rear windows were called “California style”. Most of the frame/chassis is the same as a conventional 359! Note the tow hook holes are the same. So a Texas bumper is easy to get for it if you want to go big! There is a junkyard in Nottingham Pa that had a bunch of old 352’s. Just south of the Herrs potato chip plant. If you google map it you can see it
