Red horns claymore suits Kaveh aesthetically so much that it's a crime that this is not his sig weapon.

A little surprised there's not even a mention of Flower of Paradise Lost set, which at least on paper looks like it might be best in slot for Kaveh (with a Deepwood support)
Why bloom is worse than hyperbloom IMO is because you have to have multiple units that have high EM versus only one high EM electro character.
that happens on nilou teams as well and it's no big deal because the damage is worth it, the problem with regular bloom is the time it takes for the seed to pop + their damage isn't as good as hyperbloom/burgeon
I wished for Kaveh and had 113 wishes saved up, I got Baizhu at 70 pity and Kaveh the 10 pull after. back to saving for Alhaitham now :D I also now have C4 on both Candace and Fischl. + some weapons. wish I lost the 50/50 but at least he's not that bad. Good luck to all Baizhu wanters

I agree that he wont be the best 4 star but i somehow am getting the feeling that he might be better as soon as Fontaine is released (at the end of the limited story he talks about, his mother remarring in Fontaine, so here goes my hope for him to get some buff after Fontaine

Several 4 stars got an insane buff after Sumeru release. Kuki is now a top-class support for Dendro teams, but at her release she was... well, average. Same with Beidou, I think. And Thoma. He is extremely niche, but still the best sub-DD for Burgeon teams. Personally, I wait for some hydro buffer for Ayato when Fontaine is released. Ayaka has Shenhe, so how HoyoVerse should make someone for her brother. D:

started my genshin journey with atsu. took a break from the game, but here i am still with atsu! i started playing again recently.
Currently using my Kaveh in a Nilou bloom team with Xingqiu and Baizhu, and it absolutely shreds everything. My Kaveh is c6 as I was pulling for Ganyu cons as well as c0 Baizhu, and my blooms with him on the team are doing 48k pretty frequently lol I Swap between him and Baizhu as the driver, when Kaveh's burst is on cooldown i swap out to the hydro units to use their bursts and skills, then swap to baizhu and then by the time i swap back to Kaveh his burst is back up and ready to use

Just one thing tho... Heavy attacks won't knock your active character... The reason that move knocked baizhu was because that particular attack hit twice.
First hit breaks the shield... As it withdraws it's hand you see a second damage number which is what knocks the non-shielded baizhu.
As a husbando collector I’ll have them both 🙏 dendro is my favourite element too.
The shield breaks fast so he can be used in bloom teams and burgeon teams because characters need to take dmg to prock their passive.😅
Which characters need to take dmg? Because other then maybe dehya I cant think of anyone else
@@snicko2000 nilou and anyone using the new artifact set, and Baizhu's passive works when the character take dmg.
@@snicko2000 baizhu passive that boosts dendro reaction damage only works if the character is healed. So a mini shield that prevents stagger but let's some damage through let's his heal land, triggering the dendro boost.
I don't know the math to determine if it's worth building. One other streammer had a hard time seeing if his boost worked on nilou superblooms.
Baizhu‘s talent that boosts reaction also works if your char is full life and gets over-healed ^^

I think Baizhu's shield being toilet paper is actually somewhat of a good thing in this case. otherwise Nilou teams wouldn't be able to work with him. Kaveh seems like a really good driver for Nilou teams, or a good alternative for people who want a bloom team with the flexibility to add something like cryo or anemo, since Nilou can feel really restrictive.

Which part of Nilou that won't work if Baizhu has a strong shield?
@@exmodeus part of Nilou's passive gives characters 100 EM for 10s when they take dendro damage, which is very very helpful. a strong shield would make it harder to ensure your characters are taking a few dendro hits every now and then to keep the buff up. perhaps I shouldn't have said it "wouldn't work", but rather it just wouldn't work as well (since Nilou's passive lets you do things like run a hybrid HP/EM build on characters like Kokomi to avoid sacrificing too much tankiness and healing, and helps make even not-so-well-invested characters do big bloom damage)
@@BaguettishIsn't her passive skill worded as if the character gets hit by Dendro attacks? So it's not necessary to receive the damage.
It's hard to test because Baizhu's shield breaks easily. Moreover, it requires using the burst, making it even more challenging. There aren't any other shielder too. Or I might need to stripped my Nilou first.
I got 18k primos for Kaveh and if Baizhu wants to show up too I am not stopping him

got kaveh in one single pull, which was wild to me because I just got kuki earlier. I've been getting early 4 stars, super happy that Kaveh came home
This was a very helpful guide it really helped me decide whether to pull for Baizhu or not. I have decided to pull for Ganyu since I need a good cryo Dps and i dont like ayakas playstyle.
I will definitely pull for Kaveh, I already have a good team and build.

This reminded me to go watch the Zhongli trailer again, thanks for the review! I might go for Baizhu on his rerun but skipping for now.
Also let's not forget a very good artifact set for baizhu is noblesse. (Because most ppl run nahida with deepwood already)
Noblesse is pretty useless, since all dendro teams prefer em,way more than atk,like litterally there isn't a single character that would

@@jadesides51 quicken teams exist. Baizhu is basically a quicken support. Yaoyao can only give dendro dmg bonus at c1 so why woul an electro character need a dendro Dmg bonus? Not to mention that his A4 being active character only signifies that it's a main dps oriented buff.

@@jadesides51 no. Aggravate and spread teams use atk, dendro/eletro bonus and cr/cd artifacts.
It's like any other reaction. Only the active characters em matters a bit.
In blooms teams the core reactions need em, depending on who is activating them.
Burgeon the pyro unit needs em.
Hyperbloom the eletro unit.
And bloom depending who made the bloom hydro or dendro unit.

Healing is easy to get in Genshin...as long as you don't make Zhongli-Kokomi-Nilou use the statues 😂
I suggest 4 piece clam for Baizhu. A lot of the strange aspects of his kit make more sense with it, and chaos ensues. Case and point, have Baizhu off Field, pick a flower near slimes. At c2, any character can proc bubble.😂

Just remember that kokomi also got hates on her first banner like this, and now she’s the most wanted healer and hydro applicator especially in abyss. So i believe Baizhu will be broken too🫡
@@Kiraashi I mean it's not like his dendro application can get better in the future or anything, nahida already has ridiculous amounts of dendro application that couldn't possibly be overshadowed ever
I want both because they buff my nilou´s bloom damage even more (or at least baizhu because idk if Kaveh´s bloom buffs also apply to bountiful cores) and Baizhu allows me to release kokomi for another team and put yelan or xinqiu in my team with nilou and kaveh

been waiting for this for so long
For me he is valuable because of his bloom damage bonus and most importantly healing. The unfortunate truth is that my Nahida can't survive the Nilou bloom team even with a very built Yaoyao. She dies after like 5 seconds on field. I also have another team that needs Nahida.

with kaveh healing from bloom explosions, I feel like he might work in nilou bloom teams as a more comfy option. nilou teams normally need a ton of healing to stay alive, but kaveh might make it easier to survive, making it a more comfy, less risky team, and potentially decreasing how much healing you'll need to have.
also, would kaveh's burst increase the damage of nilou's bountiful cores? it might be counted separately, idk. I don't have nilou, so I can't test that. if it does buff nilou's cores, that might also make him great for nilou. if not, then like I said, kaveh might still be a more comfy option for nilou teams that decreases the amount of healing you need.
im not really hyped for getting Baizhu, i expect not get him at all, but i'll roll for Kaveh and Fishl, im at ar 55 and still don't have her. I hope at least don't go to pity, but after win 3 50/50 in a roll, my luck is gonna get me a Keqing.

Funny thing is Baizhus shield is supposed to break in order to deal dmg and healing, it's not supposed to work as a shield.
hoyoverse realy love to slap 80 ER requirement on burst, its so unnecessary on baizhu, i feel like from what it provide, it suppose to be just 40

I got them both with only my 50 wishes savings thank goodness. I intentionally pull for kaveh not only bc he's bbg, but I also want to try bloom team without Nilou. Tried before with kokomi & liking the exploding sound effect more than the damage XD Eh I mean, the enemy's dead anyway at the end 😂
Hmmm… dendro toilet paper shield with (lots)healing … OR… save primos for Gigachad Geo Zhongli shield with Shred. It all depends on your characters and playstyle. PERSONALLY, as a day one player who has had years to build teams I already have Geo supremacy team (Zhongli C1[homa]; Itto C1[redhorn]; albedo C0 [dragonspine event def sword]; Gorou C6 [fav bow]) I’m not super impressed and might just keep saving primos for Focalors (hydro archon).

Kaveh is essentially a budget/4* Nilou. Which is great for people who couldn't get her. You don't really even need to use him for his intended use if you're just running around the world. I kind of wish he was on the Nilou banner since I could've gotten him while pulling for her.
He does really big bloom damage with good artifacts. He can do like 30k average
I dunno if I'm wrong but maybe it'd be great if standard banner character weapons were available using your fragments or anything likely
recently my baizhu sits with nearly 41k hp and 160% ER with deep wood set. as expected dmg is suck but that s not the point, heal is strong.. trying something with childe, raiden.
So Baizhus shield is kind of more damage mitigation, rather than full on shielding

So my whole thing with Kaveh in Nilou teams is his healing from blooms instead of taking damage. Does he receive hp from Nilou bloom damage if so I could see that being strong. Pump him with EM and ER and put him on Nilou team and use him as a bloom tank.
That is a very good point that might make or break this duo
kaveh is four star nilou but the thing is i thought kaveh was gonna be like. bloom support or nilou support cuz i thoight his passive would make blooms not do dmg to the active charvter

Well i do want kaveh.. Cuz outside of colei and dendro mc... I have 0 dendro unit... But i can't , i hv 50 fates and 26 into pity nd next 5* is guaranteed.... Saving for kazuha... The thought of doing 1 10 pull is keep coming to mind😂 but i just cant... Never got early 5* but if i got one , then i will never be able to play genshin again... Cuz i dont want to miss kazuha... Man this is pure pain seeing these baiju, ganyu, kaveh.. And i cant even do 1 multi

I thought his overworld passive was interesting and decent... until I realized he heals so ridiculously much that there's zero reason to use that passive instead of waiting 10 seconds and fully heal the whole party.

I was thinking on focusing on EM and ER with paradise lost artifacts. The weapon for now, I'm using maiden flower but I happen to have skyward too.
(I think the team comp will be with Nahida-Kokomi-Nilou)
Is it okay for it or I should focus on crit as well and change the weapon?

There's a good chance that if i get him im solely going to use Baizhu in a triple dendro team with Alhaitham, Kuki, Nahida and Baizhu, though Baizhu would just be an off field spread damage buffer just like Nahida woukd mainly be an off field em buffer fkr Alhaitham, sure its a waste of their abilities, but im always trying to push my Alhaitham's damage and don't have the resin required to grind artifacts since im still building 11 other characters for abyss
I guess I don't need wait for Kokomi's rerun banner 2 more patches anymore, because I really need just 1 solid healer and also I had really 2 good healers like Jean and Qiqi for spyral abyss, but I needed very viable healer then I dealing with heavy dmg and corrosion and he has shield as well, but also I have Zhongli, if I need solid shield.

wait, kaveh is not playable with alhaitham...? i mean, if you use ah for bloom and use kaveh for bloom shatters it does work

Alhaitham’s entire thing is that he needs to be on field for the duration of his mirrors. He's greedy for on field presence, just like Kaveh. If you make blooms with Alhaitham, by the time you switch to Kaveh the blooms will have exploded on their own and damaged him, making Kaveh obsolete.

Meanwhile I'm glad Kaveh doesn't work with Al-Haitham, especially since rumors had been oh so sure he'd be a dedicated 4* support for mostly him. :p
I know there was a lot of talk about resin efficiency surrounding it but my assumption is that flower of paradise lost would be his BIS (it's what I'm farming for him). And using him with Nilou means that even if he doesn't get to make all the blooms explode with his skill, he would be driving them and still do nice dmg.
Anyway Baizhu's kit confuses me even after you explained it; I'm glad I didn't want him but I feel bad for those that do (if they're disappointed with how hyv built him up). I feel like myself included, many assumed Baizhu would be top tier because of his high anticipation and being from Liyue. I wonder if this is another case of later testing bringing out his strengths more? Maybe no one understands his kit enough to make him shine? lol
I have a feeling he will shine along with Kaveh when Fontaine drops.
He could easily be another Yae Miko, Kuki Shinobu, and Thoma which all had lackluster kits before Dendro was released. Healers as a whole had a massive buff when corrosion appeared as well while shielders struggled. And the Abyss soldiers also countered shields.
I REFUSE TO BELIEVE KAVEH ISNT GOOD. HIS PLAYSTYLE IS SO FUN
baizhu is the only shielder in the game that you still have to dodge with at full investment

Go for Yaoyao if you only need a healer and broke. Otherwise go for Baizhu if u want a dps,healer, and dmg buffer.
