It's insane the amount of money that actors and sports people get paid. The average joe doesn't make $13,500 in three months. Let alone $1 million an episode.
To anyone wondering. Lisa lost the case to a freaking verbal agreement. It's appalling that a so called "verbal agreement" would hold in court. It's so easy to fall prey to a frivolous lawsuit.
Managers get 10 percent, and that includes residuals. So of course he won. Read up on some law before making a fool out of yourself. All juries hold on verbal agreement. It's the law. You can't change reality just because you like the actress. She admitted the agreement had been made so of course she had to pay.
Seems odd that he’s suing her 11 years after they cut ties professionally. Also seems weird that as her manager, he wouldn’t have had a contract written.

It's clear that she could afford to pay him. But it seems that she feels she's right and principled enough to fight him in court. Honestly, I've gotta side with her.
I still don't understand how this guy could come back and say "we both ended a contract, but since she still gets paid from re-runs then i want a cut too". The contract was over, he should have said something right then and there instead of waiting.
She still has $2 million laying around? I haven't seen her in anything other than Friends, so my question is... how much did she get paid from that show!? Actors get paid too much in my opinion. Still, she didn't deserve this. Her manager was probably just looking for a handout or something.
Erm judging by this it means she's made $16 million from Friends re runs even after the show ended, that's why he's getting $1.6 million! Forbid knows what they made in the ten years they were on air, especially the latter part of her career. Couple that with all the work she's done they must all easily have around $100 million. Insane! Whilst i get everyone saying they made huge amounts of money. They get a % of what the show made. The show is nothing without them. I guess it's justified....

+kazzarulez980 A verdict has been reached in the civil lawsuit filed against Lisa Kudrow by her former manager, who claims he is owed residuals from her days on "Friends." A 10-2 decision was reached in favor of Scott Howard, who was Kudrow's manager from 1991 to 2007, saying the actress was liable for breach of contract, KABC reports. The jury awarded the plaintiff $1.6 million for past and future economic losses.
Tarkus, If he were a decent manager he would have had it in writing. I never would have awarded him the money. But, this is no different then the women who keep making allegations against men that happened 10 yrs ago.
Why should she be entitled to give him anything after they "parted ways"? That's like me trying to claim an additional salary from the Starbucks I worked at 5 years ago. Oral contracts are legitimate, but what needs to be taken into consideration is the length at which the contract lasts. Since they "parted ways" then isn't it assumed that their oral contract had been mutually broken by either party and any earnings she received afterwards (regardless of their oral contract) are completely hers and not her managers.
An oral agreement means nothing, he is just trying to cash in. If he really felt he deserved a cut he should have written up a contract. Besides it sounds like he didn't do much to get her more money, the six Friends actors stuck together and fought for the million dollars per episode in the last season themselves. They seen what the Seinfeld actors did and they knew what they where worth, without the help of greedy suits and got themselves that money. Lisa should not have to hand over a penny to that guy. As for that slime ball lawyer, asking "are you acting right now?" That is the oldest trick in the book, trying to convince the jury that she is good at lying because she can act.
I don't understand. A manager getting 10% is pretty common...why is everybody pissing on him and defending her?! Because it was an oral agreement? Sure, it was a mistake by him not to put it down in writing, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get paid : /

Plus anyone can clearly see he has more talent than this terrible actress. What has she ever done besides Friends. She is a one-note crappy actress. She even tried using that one-note performance in court and what do you know, it didn't work. So much for talent, LOL!
Uh, you pay your agent. This man worked for her. Ok, they call him a manager. I’d ask who did the deal with the production company and her. If he did it, he gets the 10%. Even if she gets another agent, from that deal, he gets the 10%. That is how it works. She looks tired.
Now, this is truly sad. She absolutely deserved her money. However i think Lisa couldn't handle this situation and the man simply was smart enough to use her. REALLY SAD. Also the contract was over 10 years before. She did the right thing when it lasted. But asking more for Reruns? Seriously? Of course anybody would love to have the money since she's winning more but it seems likely it wasn't o the contract! Reruns are such a different thing and it does have nothing to do with management FR.
An oral agreement wouldn't last long in court. If say nope never said that to him case closed no need to keep asking about her pay. No contract no pay. Why does ever other civil court dismiss verbal agreement
well all u guys commenting in favor of one or the other, without researching should know, she lost the case! she had to pay him the money!! thats ok, everyone's happy
It disgusts me that Hollywood actors earn so much money when we have good honest people all over the world dying from starvation. Yes I know I am a nobody and my opinion doesn't matter but it's just not right.
An actor always has a manager... It's either his 10% or she paid 10% to another manager during the time in question. If she has receipts for another, screw this guy. If she doesn't, it's the plaintiff's. Pick one, settle it, and STFU. It only embarrasses her.
She made one million dollars an episode on friends, that's two weeks worth of work for her, to you and me that's a lot of money, but to Lisa that's just two pay checks. Just because we like her on friends does not mean she does not have to pay her bills.
How dare they pay Lisa the least. Certainly by any metric of analysis Lisa should have been paid more than Matt, Matthew and David from where she was in her career. She was on a major recurring character in a hit show. I think she probably should have been paid more than Jen as well. Since Jen was only on a pilot. Sad.

Uh, you pay your agent. This man worked for her. Ok, they call him a manager. I’d ask who did the deal with the production company and her. If he did it, he gets the 10%. Even if she gets another agent, from that deal, he gets the 10%. That is how it works.
She looks tired.
Yes, she would never have gotten a job acting anywhere if it wasn't for her agent so of course he should be paid for his work.
He is not entitled. He didn't manage anything. He doesn't have a contract. He has no proof. If he can't prove it then it never happened.
He's a pretty crappy manager if she was the lowest paid on the show. Getting only $13,500 an episode? That's deplorable. Bad manager.
Mill an ep.? No. No one. Ever.
If it's not written down and signed and notarized, it's not a valid contract.
What a silly thing to say. Oral contracts are just as binding as a written contract. Read up on some law. You know she lost the case right?
Don't give the cheeky blighter a penny. You were in every episode of friends, he wasn't in a single one.
...why does the reporter keep mentioning a jury? there are no juries in civil proceedings
Pay up. It's 5$ to you.
Her Net Worth is $70M. She should just Seattle it.
OMG!! That was Ursula not Phoebe!! 😱🙀
Romii and Michelle’s HS Reunion is brilliant
An oral agreement wouldn't last long in court. If say nope never said that to him case closed no need to keep asking about her pay. No contract no pay. Why does ever other civil court dismiss verbal agreement
well all u guys commenting in favor of one or the other, without researching should know, she lost the case! she had to pay him the money!! thats ok, everyone's happy
It disgusts me that Hollywood actors earn so much money when we have good honest people all over the world dying from starvation. Yes I know I am a nobody and my opinion doesn't matter but it's just not right.
Leave Phoebe alone!!!
Bro....she finished college....THEY are stupid
#teamsmellycat
the one with the nap partners
Joey: okay Phoebe
Phoebe: yes you honor
A million an episode ??? Are they crazy?
An actor always has a manager... It's either his 10% or she paid 10% to another manager during the time in question. If she has receipts for another, screw this guy. If she doesn't, it's the plaintiff's. Pick one, settle it, and STFU. It only embarrasses her.
4 years alate and why isnt this video updated .. did she win or not ..
Don’t get it wrong. It was Ursula who got sued, not our Phoebe.
Sad.
So who won?
This showed up just now in my recommendations?
Wow, they earned fortunes of fortunes from 1994 to 2004. And continued making money after that up to now. Just wow!!!!
If she sacked him then she surely sacked the contract as well. They parted ways end of...Greedy bastard.
She entertained half the world she should get compensated for it.
