  • Queen's View is a stunning viewpoint located near Pitlochry in Scotland. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of Loch Tummel and the surrounding Highland scenery. The name "Queen's View" is believed to be derived from Queen Victoria, who visited the site in the 19th century and was captivated by the beauty of the landscape.
The viewpoint provides a picturesque vista of the loch, its wooded shores, and the distant Schiehallion mountain. It has become a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from all over the world who come to admire the natural beauty and take in the tranquil atmosphere.
There's also a visitor center at the Queen's View, providing information about the area's history and wildlife. It's a great spot for photography, picnicking, or simply enjoying the serene surroundings of the Scottish Highlands. If you're ever in the region, a visit to the Queen's View is definitely worth adding to your itinerary.
The Queens View is one of the most photographed places in Scotland.
It is located in Tay Forest Park. The view itself looks over Loch Tummel to Schiehallion 'the fairy mountain'.
The viewing platform is wheelchair accessible.
Queen Victoria made a famous entry in her diaries in 1866 presuming that Queen's View had been named after her but it may have been named after Isabel, the wife of Robert the Bruce, in the 14th century.
There are signposted forest walks and off-road cycle routes for those who want to explore more.
