eurovision 2024, but they only sing the song title
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 бер 2024
- Ever wondered which Eurovision 2024 entries spend the most time singing the title? Is it the songs that repeat the title many many times or the slow ballads that have long titles and take time singing it? Well, here's the answer.
DECISIONS TO COUNT/NOT COUNT SOME LYRICS:
In general I tried to include as many as possible to make it more interesting. For example I counted "One Milkali" (Australia) although in the full title there is also "One Blood". In the song they sing "One Milkali-la", but of course "la" is not counted, since it's not part of the title.
In the case of "Liar" (Cyprus), there were multiple versions. Especially the line "You liar, liar, liar, liar
Yeah, yeah, yeah" / "You lie-ie-ie-ie, yeah yeah yeah".
The second version is from the official Spotify release, so I could not count that part (lie/liar - not the same).
Poland's "The Tower" is an example of counting the long notes singing the title as well. The backing vocals sing "The toweeeeeeer" while Luna comes in "I'm the one who built the tower". Since the backing vocal line didn't finish before Luna reaches the title, there is no cut. The backing vocal line has to be loud and clear enough tho.
Bare in mind, it's all quite subjective and can be intepreted in multiple ways. This is just my take and for a bit of fun :DD

I missed Armenia's "Jako" lyrics due to me only looking at the lyrics in Armenian alphabet and the title sounding very different in the song to how it would be pronounced in my native tongue. I'll post a YT short of Ladaniva only singing "Jako" in the upcoming days. Malta's revamped version of "Loop" has already been uploaded and oh my... she really sings "Loop" on loop now.
U didnt lose much by not includin the Indian song under armenian😂

It’s also hidden in the backing vocals a few times
And they say it in the backing vocals
I counted seven if you include the background singers; one if you only count Jaklin (aka Jako). But if the background vocals counted on 'Luktelk', they should count for 'Jako' too.

Zora zora zora zora zora zora zora! 🇪🇸 🥳 45 times! No wonder it’s so catchy. That must make up the majority of the lyrics! 😆
fiy it's zorRa with two Rs! Zora means nothing while Zorra means female fox or slut (which is the intent of the song) :3
La noia made me laugh 😂
And luktelk for me 😂
Jako is in the lyrics, precisely once so it will probably be last in the list of those songs that sing thr title but it should still be there. Ժակո՛ is Jako and it's how it's pronounced too. In the lyrics below [ ]
Ինձ ասում են. [Ժակո՛] քեզ խելոք պահի՛
Շատ մի՛ խոսա
Շատ սուս էլ մի՛ նստի
Հագի՛, բացի՛, փակի՛

Its also on the backing vocals once too
Oh dear, sorry for missing that ♥️💙🧡
Actually I counted six in the backing vocals.
@@IanSowers yes the backing vocals bit was from memory. I only remembered the jako shortly after she sings it herself

The blooming (Ramonda?) blossom at the end was such a way to finish the song! Mad props to Teya Dora for Serbia
Considering the song name, probably.

Rim Tim Tagi Dim is Croatia‘a song title although it is not said at all in that specific form in the lyrics.
basically say the title of your song 23 times and then you have a pouplar song.
Cool "trophy" for Ramonda 💜
I swear the Always on the run repeats like 86 times in that song lmao
No, that's the Run Un Ah Äh (Töröööööh!!!)
Gate actually says the title but separately. Ham then Ulve
I Love That There is "Fighter" After " Firefighter"
1:57 "DOOMSDAY.... BOO!👹"

4:15 for a lot of Luktelk. Love the sound of it 😂
He technically says “Before the party IS over”, while the title is “Before the party’s over”
Technically yes, but I let that one slide since " 's " = " is " and it sounds pretty much the same
@@EpixEurovisionGuy for Teresa & Maria you could also make and excuse, as in the song it's actually "Mama Teresa, diva Maria", not a big deal.
@@EpixEurovisionGuy and Rim Tim Tim Tagi dim tim tim, was also better to include, you're being too picky 😅
@@trantonit2682 Perhaps, but like I wrote in the description, it's never gonna be 100% accurate and there are many ways of doing it. I had to make some decisions and this is the result 😀
You could argue he's just singing "Before the Partyy-yy's over". With a longer y that makes it sound like an is. I think that kind of distinction isn't important
Okay so for La Noia, it sounds like she says “la noia” that many times, but the majority of the time she is actually saying “della noia” (which means “of boredom”) and it just sounds like “la noia”
I think the revamped Loop has more loops in the lyrics lmao
I was thinking this morning of looking up if someone had made a video like this yet, and then this popped up in my reccomended today XD Perfect timing algorithm 👌
Luktelk and No rules, still sounded nice 😅

@@omicron.lamda.Wiwiblogs usually post the translation to ESC songs.
I'm Spanish. I obviously understand the 'zorra' lyrics. When the auditions were a few months ago, my music teacher showed us the video so we could give her our opinion. There are very few things that my class is in consensual agreement on, but we all agreed at the time that there are better ways to deliver that same exact message.
This actually really helped me realise why I can’t stand Spain, Serbia and Lithuania’s songs this year. The repetition is insaaaaane. Good video!
i'm gonna watch eurovision with my family again this year and i hope my younger family member won't ask about any songs, they just listen. in fact, nobody even said that eurovision is meant for kids, but kids can watch it.
