Standing for more than 3 years... end is imminent... I’ve worked it harder than anything ever in my life. I’ve learned that 2 can’t where 1 won’t... and that in it all God is always good. His character never changes. It’s difficult to understand in times such as this... my faith in God hasn’t waviered... through it all, I pray my wife runs to God FIRST and foremost... Only He can do the work to give her what she NEEDS... I’m not equipped nor qualified... please pray my wife finds her way to / back to God with urgency. TY.
Very well said Keith. Through it all...God must be first. As far as the end is concerned...well...I like to say “let’s let God have the final say”. His voice created all that was, is, and is to come! He can take care of any situation at any time...but His will is to have both you and your wife living for Him...but because each of you choose to. We will be praying for you both...in Jesus name!!
Praying brother. In the same situation. Standing for a year and a half. She's cut off all contact. I was however able to send scripture to her on the permanence of the marital Covenant, although she has refuted them she now has them. Praying that the Holy Spirit convicts her DAILY of the Truth of God's Holy Word.
I've been standing for 17 months I've seen no change. I've prayed, fasted read scripture in my prayers. I don't know what else to do. We've been together 33 years he just said i don't love you anymore and walked out. A wave of huge depression has hit me this week, i'm struggling to hold on.
Violet...I would encourage you to find a good counselor and seek counseling with your pastor. I can tell you that it makes a HUGE difference. Generally, when things like that occur, we start to try and figure out what we did wrong...when the whole time, it most likely wasn’t us. This is a good time to rediscover who you are to yourself and who you are to God. God knows who you are to Him...but YOU need to know who you are to Him. A good counselor and a loving Pastor will help guide you the direction you should go next. Praying for you Violet!
Honestly Teresa, this is something that God Will have to answer for you. But I’m of the belief that if something seems logical…and it benefits us…it’s probably not the Lord speaking…but our own fleshly desire for the outcome. Without knowing more (to which I would not recommend sharing here publicly), it’s hard to give a good resolution to your situation. We will be praying with and for you over this answer (I prayed over just this very response that you’re reading). God Bless you and remember…God will respond…but we must be as diligent in listening as we are in asking or praying!
Thank you for the encouragement! I’ve released Scott to the Lord, just working on being the best wife I can be for when he finds his way home via the Holy Spirit.
My god, there are so many people in this situation and mostly men nowadays. My wife of 16 years also choose to live separately and says she’s doesn’t know what she wants. It’s very painful but I stand praying for my situation and all of you🙏
Yes sir...there are quite a number of folks in this situation and hurting. Sometimes, we don’t understand that even those that are walking away are hurting too. That’s why it’s always best to leave them in Gods hands to heal them and we just be there to encourage them as they need it...even if it sounds or looks like they want to hurt us. We must identify and differentiate between what is a “problem” and what is a “symptom”. Praying for you Tyrin...God knows what you both need and wants to show you great things you’ve never seen before!
Im in that exact situation. Except my wife is going with another man. That hurts that much more. I went into a deep depression and went on a sexapade. Having sex with other woman so I can move or cope with the pain. But instead it made me more depressed because I knew I was sinning against God..and make those women adulterers.. I have asked God to forgive me time and time again and now I feel like God has left me.. Now Im worried if I gotten an std and I don’t even pray to him at times because I don’t deserve his mercy and his healing. I deserve death..
I hear what you’re saying my friend. None of us deserve the mercy of God. If I may… I would tell you that for however much sin you think you’ve got…God has more mercy! If you’re ready…repent…and turn your life back to God. Find a truth preaching church…let them help you and guide you. Give yourself not just to prayer…but also listening to Gods voice. Sometimes, we can get in so much of a hurry in our prayers that we end up missing Gods voice directing us. We will be praying for you my friend…and please, feel free to reach out if you need anything. 99forprodigal@gmail.com
My wife and mother of our child had affair 2019. Was horrific for me - I loved and had Christ like forgiveness and manages to keep us together 2019 and 2020 but in 2021 her ap got married and she became even angrier and more abisive and I broke down and became resentful and by 2022 she left Between 2019 and 2020 I had done many things to express love like our family vacations a new Diamond ring , but our inmacy t suffered She left now and I’m lost scared and I can’t picture my life without my wife and daughter it hurts so much
I’m so sorry to hear that Herakles. You know, in the middle of it all, God said He “would never leave nor forsake us”. That means that He’s not just there on the mountaintops…but also in the lows of the valley. It hurts right now…but if you’ll focus your life on: 1. Being the best child of God you can possibly be through prayer, fasting, reading your Bible, and serving your local church and community. 2. Become the best version of yourself by taking care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally. While I cannot guarantee or promise this will change your wife…it will certainly help you to realize that you are as valuable to God (and even more so) than your wife is valuable to you. He loves you SO much and He knows what He is doing. Trust in Him…regardless of the outcome…trust Him, and you will not be disappointed in the end.
I do feel like quitting.. I’m thinking I’m crazy maybe I’m wrong and all this prodigal stuff is becoming like the prosperity Bible preaching.. 2yrs later do you still think God ordained marriage is biblical??

Women file 70 percent of the divorces.
But God is not only willing...but is capable of healing 100 percent of the brokenness before, during, and even after a divorce!
Thank you for sharing

I absolutely do believe God ordained marriage is a biblical principle that we should honor as best we can.
