That's something I have pending, I've been in all the 5 boroughs but never went to the Upper Manhattan, watching your and ActionKid videos convinced me to go visit Harlem on my next trip and off course gonna try that amazing food. On a different topic UA-cam recommended me a gem of a video, 3 argentinean guys who went up the Twin Towers on July 2001, aside from being an awesome document what strikes you the most is they did it in 100% vlogging fashion way before UA-cam and is getting viral for that reason.
Not sure if they're still open, but my 2 favorite noodle places are "Sita Thai" and "The Hand Pulled Noodle" . On the same block is the most amazing pub food "Harlem Public".
Last time we were in Harlem we ate at The Edge... This was end of February right before Covid lockdown ... They serve the most succulent shrimp for appetizers...YummmY! We were planning to go back but oh dang :,( Cant wait to sit and enjoy a meal and laughter like that again... YASSSSS!!!
am not ready to get hungry but we have to be ready if clicking your video lol. yes we love thigh too, best part! the mac and cheese looks super good too!
Hey I love your channel. Im studying real estate development in Columbia, im new to NYC and were discussing gentrification and how it affects locals. I would love to someday talk to your friend and get the perspective of someone from Harlem and how we should protect neighborhoods so they never loose the soul that has been with him all his life.
Harlem is nice, but for me the most underrated neighborhood will be Washington heights, there is ALWAYS something going on over there, never not had a good time while there, but that’s just me 😌
Go to East Harlem and try Patsys Pizzeria on 117th and First ave best pizza in NYC go right up to the window and get your slices or pie and also go to 110th st and 1st ave to Blue sky Deli on the corner and ask for a chopped cheese.
Charles is a great spot. You already have to get there early to get what you want, now you done blew it up! Gotta hit Miss Mamie’s Spoonbread, Ponty’s Bistro, Renaissance, Barawine, BLVD, Red Rooster, Sylvia’s, Abyssinia and if you want the best pizza in Manhattan, Pizza by Lucilles
Awesome video with your friend Evan! Definitely bring hi back! I'm so hungry after watching this video, everything look MMM MMMM GOOD! Keep healthy and safe out there!
Yeees! Do more of Harlem’s best places to eat! I stayed right by the Harriet Tubman memorial last year by myself in a Airbnb, and didn’t know where to eat most of the days, because I haven’t heard any recommendations in the area. Now I’m bummed I didn’t visit those places! I was SO CLOSE 😑
Just placed my first order of HBB merch. Jon, you've brought a lot of happiness to me through your videos over the last few years. Until now I've only ever supported your channel through views and comments. It was time I stepped up. It's the UA-cam equivalent of contributing to PBS except instead of a tote bag, I get a cool T-shirt. L'shanah Tovah! ---Steve
Ok so we just spent our first time ever in NYC. We live in Buffalo so we thought to go to NYC now because my husband doesn't like crowds but we were able to get a hotel room and a train ticket for a family of four for under $500 4 days 3 nights. We have watched all your videos before hand to gear up and we're excited. But being still a pandemic and you are reviewing alot of restaurants. We struggled the most finding food places as werid as that was. Upstate all restaurant are open full swing just limited seating and indoor and outdoor. But we tried googling, map quest and still struggled. Our issue was the food places near the site seeing spots. So alot of the places you review were not in easy walking distance from the Rock or Time Square Central Park, for tourist specially with kids lol. But we did get in Shake Shack and we found a Rainbow Bagel. But the promanade under the rock alot of places were closed. And time square I did not want chain food places but I was shocked how they were closed also. We just returned home on Wed. Last week. So I know your always looking for video ideas and things are changing with Covid. Maybe you have some suggestions for first timers near the tourists areas.
Nice food tour. I wanted to purchase your “New York Strong “ hoodie but you only have smaller sizes. Plz offer larger sizes and increase the graphic size like the T-shirts. Thanks!👍
Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve heard about mo’s burger, he seems like a very nice guy. Would love to try these recommendation next time I visit. I miss nyc!
Thank you John & Ivan for the different places in Harlem, next trip will have to stop at the places in the vides, did not know of these places, by the way where did you get your (New York Strong ) tee shirts, thank you again.
Great to see a video from Harlem, no trip to NYC should miss it. I dropped into IHop, and would like to know your thoughts on that chain. Would also be good to see restaurants best avoided in the NYC area. You can't name names, but would be a really interesting video. Move over Jon, Evan is a definite for another Video into Harlem.

Why I say this because sometimes you have to enjoy food at home and not while walking or on the go. Food that delicious like you guys had with the chicken and Mac and cheese Would have been better eating it at home but I understand you have a video to make. Still the food in Harlem looks delicious got to stop by that chicken place.
Hello, just curious I see lots of tourist Video and good info. Can you show us some normal every day stuff. Like where or what do grocery stores look like. Also some of us live where we have big shopping centers with walmarts and targets and places we can get cloths, appliances, household items. Do people really carry their groceries blocks to home do you do deliveries? Some of the every day aspects of living in NYC?

Charles just opened another Charles' Pan Fried Chicken a couple of days ago at 144-46 West 72nd Street between Broadway and Amsterdam. Check it out!

BO's Bagels for breakfast on W. 116th Street. They make fresh bagels daily. Great coffee too.
I like to see the stairs in front of each door. That's something so typical.

Ponty Bistro is a great place in Harlem, hopefully it's still operating.
Another great video! Curious, will you being getting more hoodies? I need one!!
I'll bet the baker improved on the rugalach recipe by substituted shortening in the dough. That makes it lighter and crumblier. And not Kosher.
Loved Evan and your interactions together. Would like to see more on Harlem for a future NYC trip. Keep up the good work!

That fried chicken looks delicious! Definitely looks more delicious than what im cooking up for supper tonight.
looks better than my dinner too.
This is my 4th time watching this video absolutely love it
It looks like a cookie dough vs rugalach usually is a croissant or yeast sweet bread dough. Try some in the isreali market fresh that's next level.
Nice food tour. I wanted to purchase your “New York Strong “ hoodie but you only have smaller sizes. Plz offer larger sizes and increase the graphic size like the T-shirts. Thanks!👍
