I really enjoyed all your vlogs all over the Lahaina area when you lived there and it's so sad seeing the destruction. I went through a huge declutter a couple of years ago and ever since then I’ve been eating more healthy too. 👋🏾Wow, that's so interesting! Watermelon is also my favorite smoothie (Just finished one before watching😆)! I have a few variations for mine. I always add red beets to mine.🤤 I just recently started adding strawberries (when I have them) to the beet and watermelon combo! It's so good and refreshing. Any and all of the fresh fruits or veggies that will be used for smoothies, get cleaned, cut, and frozen right away. That way they are always ready for my belly.😅😋 Carrots are another favorite of mine to add to my orange, mango, turmeric, peaches/nectarine, or golden beet smoothie! They🥕 are so good to me (literally)! Although they say the celery is best alone, I like to add strawberry, cherry, or even cucumber to it. Cucumber juice/smoothie is one that stands alone. Ha ha my boyfriend and I were just talking about my mom getting bored with day old leftovers. And always living for the next best taste for the next exciting meal. Then 10 mins later she mentioned how she can’t understand how I can eat the same foods every few days. It’s simple. I’m willing to eat natural clean foods so my excitement is the cute clothes I wear the next day.

Honestly I had the most sweet, perfectly ripe and juicy peach yesterday and it's SO good. It's like worth living for. Can't wait to eat the other one because it's super refreshing in the summer!! I'm curious, does or can raw vegan include things like beans, potatoes, corn, or rice? I feel like some rice or potato with other veggies would help me feel more full.

I'm killing yet another plant. This time the Echeveria 'Emerald Ripple'. I know you don't water succulent that often, but it's been so hot in Texas. Every time I water (once every 1.5 weeks/ 2 tbsp) I get a growth spurt quickly followed by the outer leaves dying😞. Any suggestions? Mine is indoor/sitting in indirect sunlight. Sill in the soil it came in.

Hello. Just wondering if you drink all of the smoothies that you made in a day or do you share them with your husband. I'm looking at getting healthier and wondering how much to drink
Raw diets should not be done long term imo. It’s putting your body through a cleanse 24/7. Humans cannot digest cellulose, and plants pass through you at a much faster rate taking many needed nutrients along with them. Plants also do not have the same bioavailability meat does. Meat is directly digested by stomach acids & gut enzymes & made available to you directly, but vegetables are primarily digested by gut flora. Humans are not herbivores. This is why so many raw vegans look frail and exhausted, the body is working overtime. When I was raw I had no fat on my eyelids, and thin skin, it was sucking the life out of me. Like any extreme diet, this can be detrimental. I know you say this diet makes you fell at your best, I’m just asking you please be careful and pay attention to your body!

Now with that being said, humans don’t NEED to be omnivorous, they can “survive” off of plants alone, but it’s not optimal for human health long term. Most plants contain compounds like trypsin inhibitors, phytic acid, & lectins, which hamper body’s ability to breakdown down proteins & absorb key minerals like zinc, magnesium, & calcium.

Or “oh you have to make sure to eat in abundance, make sure you’re intaking enough food” but the thing is, if plant based diets were truly optimal for humans, it would NOT be that difficult and complicated to get the nutrients you need. You Shouldn’t have to eat such large quantities of food just to feel fulfilled and nourished. If eating meat is bad, then why do I feel completely satisfied after eating 4oz of chicken or beef with a little rice & veggies on the side? I’m 5’2” and when I was vegan I had to eat a large bowl of food to feel any kind of satisfaction and then I’d be hungry again shortly after. My whole life revolved around food. My jaw would hurt from all the chewing!
